Very happy with the quality. It did take 4 of us to lift the roof in place. All holes were pre drilled. Would have appreciated a 3/16 concrete drill bit in the kit. Very well packed in 2 long heavy boxes. We picked ours up at the store using a trailer. Only got a little mixed up on the correct bolt to use on the frame. I think the assembler got ahead of the instructions person. All in all, really pleased.

Entire product came in two boxes. Everything was precut and predrilled. Bolt and nut bags were clearly marked and included extras. I did need help lifting roof onto frame, other than that it was a one person install. I called customer service once to get a screw and nut replacement and it was shipped FedEx Ground and received in just a few days after calling. I recommend this product very highly.

Great product at a reasonable price! Make sure to read and follow instructions to the T. That made assembly very easy. Also do yourself a favor and pre stain the entire gazebo before you put together. Looking forward to may years of enjoyment

Love this gazebo! I bought 2 for different locations. One for grill cover and another I put porch furniture under it and it was perfect. Took 5 hours to assemble with 2 people.

This review is actually of our XL Saxony Grill pergola…just finally finished installing last week. The pergola was easy to put together. Instructions were very clear, and 3d view was very helpful. My wife and I put as much as possible together in preparation for our sons joining us to connect the four posts and add the roof…it now houses our original outdoor kitchen. It is our 2nd Backyard Discovery pergola (you can see in the picture, behind the Saxony XL, our Arcadia Pergola, which we use primarily for concerts and movies). I've had an excellent experience with the Backyard Discovery Saxony Grill Gazebo. The cedar construction is sturdy, attractive, and looks great on my patio. It provides plenty of shade while grilling and does a great job keeping the rain off, so I can cook comfortably in almost any weather. The assembly takes some time, but all the parts are well labeled and the instructions are easy to follow. Once it's anchored, the gazebo feels very solid. I also like the built-in shelves and hooks—they keep my grilling tools organized and within reach. Overall, this gazebo has completely transformed my outdoor cooking area. It looks like a premium product, is built with quality materials, and has become the centerpiece of my backyard. If you're looking for a durable, great-looking grill gazebo that's worth the investment, I highly recommend the Backyard Discovery Saxony.

Love the grill gazebo. We got a good deal at Sam’s Club compared to other retailers’ prices. Comes in 2 boxes, easy to haul in a pickup. Assembly was mainly a one person job, my husband was able to do it in about 5-6 hours over the course of the afternoon. Product seems to be high quality. Makes a great addition to our space. We added lights and outdoor metal stools.

Just finished assembling this and we love it. I will be honest, the assembly is tough and there are a lot of pieces. It took a couple of days to stain/waterproof the wood - make sure to look inside the main posts as there are quite a few smaller pieces tucked in there. Once you are ready to assemble, ask some friends over. We tried this with just the two of us and it is NOT recommended. We are using this as a carport and it is so much sturdier and attractive than the metals ones we purchased in the past. If we wanted to use it as a gazebo later on, simply move out the vehicles. I dare the Nebraska winds to knock this down!!

This has completely transformed our backyard. We used to only be able to take our toddler out in the early morning or late evenings, but this gives us shade and makes our yard usable the way we always wanted it to be. My only regret is not having bought this sooner

We bought our grill gazebo about a month ago and were able to put it together this weekend. It took us about six hours. Most parts lined up well, some needed “coaxing”. Overall we are very pleased with the results and love the way it looks on our patio. It is our second outdoor structure from Backyard Discovery.
