It's been my go to beans for French Press then pourover. When I ran out of beans for Rancilio espresso machine, I used them and was pleasantly surprised with the smoothness either as a straight espresso or Americano. Maybe not as good for milk based drinks (Prefer Stumptown Hairbender), but I think I like it better than Stumptown as espresso or Americano. I know coffee snobs will scoff at this, but give it a try. I can't get my usual 20-21 grams in portafilter though. More like 18-19g.

received this coffee today and the bag was almost 2 months past date. In the midst of this pandemic and the great boon to hit the grocery business and they can turn their stock properly? I am surprised Peets, who is very protective of their product, would allow this. I certainly wont buy perishables from Sams again

My wife's and my favorite coffee. Major Dickason's has a wonderfully smooth, heavy body with nut and cinnamon notes. This coffee works perfectly in a Chemex Coffeemaker. 17x water to coffee (by weight). 200 to 203 degrees. Slow pour 3 min 45 sec total time for 30grams of coffee and 510grams of filtered well water.

I just bought this brand and flavor of coffee a few days ago. I have been trying all different kinds of coffee for years as none of them gave me that YUM I was looking for. I settled on I'll call it Fulgirs black silk for a long time. I tried peets major dickason and WOW!!! Its so dark, silky, and robust with a perfected flavor. Absolutely nothing like it. I'm sold for life.
