Ever since my first taste of Major Dickason’s blend, I’ve been hooked, no other coffee can hold a candle to this blend. The look, the smell, and the taste are so good, you will NEVER want to drink anything else. I manually grind my own beans, and totally enjoy smelling the smells as the beans are grinding. Go ahead and treat yourself to the best coffee ever!

I have bought Pete's coffee on occasions during the past few years, usually Major Dickason's Blend, it does taste a bit bitter, I think Pete's should label what is in the mix on the package. I way prefer Groundwork's Organic coffee, I love Organic Black Magic, notes of Dark Chocolate and Red Berries or Organic Black Gold with notes of Chocolate and Hazelnuts. Food for Thought. I was raised in France, Italy and Switzerland where the coffee is amazing.

This coffee is a love affair. I was introduced to Peet's back in 1998 by my English professor and I wondered why someone would like a bean so much they would have it shipped to them regularly. Now I know why!!!! My first concern when moving to Canada where I now live was if they sell Peet's here. Major D's blend is my old flame that I look for whenever I scan a store, a coffeebar, an online site...I'm always searching for that spark and if I do come across it I light up with the inspiration and magic of a first kiss and my heart is full. Thanks to Peet's I have a new lifelong obsession, friend, and old flame that ever burns brightly!!!!! Be prepared to take a journey if you try it....mine has lasted over twenty years and counting!

Several months ago I bought a bag (32 oz) to give it a try. Since I live about 1 1/2 hours from the nearest Sams club, I visited several as I traveled and could not find this wonderful coffee any where. Many online places sell it, but for a lot more plus shipping. I set up my account and bought this wonderful coffee, and it arrived in two days.

I have been buying Major Dickinson coffee for many years. I have tried other coffees but keep coming back to this as my favorite. I just bought some to make cold brew coffee. It is amazing in a cold brew. I did the full amount and It was actually too strong and I love it strong. It holds up yo being poured over ice with a bit of almond milk for creaminess. I highly recommend this blend hot or cold. It is my go to.

Seems like really good coffee even if its past it's prime shelf life. Every Sam's I've gone to has this either past or extremely close to recommended sell by date. This also goes for online purchases which came to us already expired before it even shipped.

It’s been my go to beans for French Press then pourover. When I ran out of beans for Rancilio espresso machine, I used them and was pleasantly surprised with the smoothness either as a straight espresso or Americano. Maybe not as good for milk based drinks (Prefer Stumptown Hairbender), but I think I like it better than Stumptown as espresso or Americano. I know coffee snobs will scoff at this, but give it a try. I can’t get my usual 20-21 grams in portafilter though. More like 18-19g.

I bought this because of its popularity to give it a try. For me, it is decidedly meh. Not objectionable, but no real personality either. Caveat: Compared to the other coffees I drink. Certainly, if you are used to ordinary, sour-tasting, burned coffee, this will be a revelation of goodness. If it is the first good coffee you have ever had (compared to coffees which are considered to be good but are really just vehicles for multiple add-ins), you are likely to swoon. But compared head on with smooth, rich, deeply flavorful coffees, there doesn't seem to be much here. Would I recommend it to a friend? Depends on where I think that friend stands, with respect to coffee. There is certainly nothing wrong with this - no flaws other than lack of distinction.

Website says they roast major Dickinson twice a week and coffee ships same day. Not true, my bags were both roasted a week prior. More important the beans are very oily, almost look wet. My understanding is roasted beans should be completely dry. It's our true oily beans ate over roasted or not fresh? Not happy with Peets.

For several years I have been buying Peet's Major Dickason's Blend whole bean coffee, and I have yet to find an equivalent coffee that is anywhere close to Sam's price and Peet's taste. Every so often I decide to try another brand just to see if I can equal or beat Peet's, but I always end up returning to the "Peetnik" fold. On a scale of "1-5," I would almost give Peet's Major Dickason's Blend a "6."
