When I first tried this several years ago I thought it was the best store bought Pesto I had tried, it was my go to Pesto but then it disappeared during the start of COVID pandemic and has just recently come back to my local Sam’s, I was very happy so picked some up that night I made pasta with pesto and this did NOT taste like the pesto they were selling before the pandemic. It’s dry and does not taste fresh, bad aftertaste, hardly no garlic taste at all!!! Pesto should be made with fresh herbs lots of EVOO, garlic and pine nuts, this was just not good will not buy anymore, very disappointed.

Unfortunately I was not able to try this pesto. I brought it home from sams put it away in my pantry cabinet...a few days go by and we notice a smell coming from our kitchen and we couldn't figure it out. So today I did a extensive clean and search and behold, our brand new unopened jar of pesto had exploded in my cabinet. It looked as if all the oils from inside the jar busted out. It covered the bottom of my cabinet. I put the jar in the sink to try and salvage what I could, and as I was cleaning the cabinet the jar exploded in the sink and pesto was pouring out from the rim into the sink. Needless to say we did not get a chance to try this pesto due to poor packaging. And I will not be buying agian.

A good price for the amount but it’s way too thick. I needed to add olive oil to thin it down.

Does not taste like pesto. Something is very off. Also very chunky compared to others.

Every single time I order this for delivery the seal is broken and is leaking everywhere. This is what an $8.00 delivery fee gets you?!

It’s too salty to use as a dip but the aroma of Basil is good. But I won’t recommend to use it as a dip.
