I’m not sure how it’s possible to make a product that’s supposed to be very rich in flavor so bland. Also the texture is not thick, it’s very roughly chopped and pretty liquid.

there were shredded pieces of plastic throughout the entire container. at first I thought it was maybe the basil, but it's white not green. looks like string almost. whatever it is, it shouldn't be there. we threw it out.

Super bummed I wasn't able to use it. Leaked all over my pantry and by the time I was going to use it I noticed it was already spoiled with bubbles on the bottom. I'm guessing the seal wasn't tight enough.

Exploded in my cabinet before I could try it. There was oil EVERYWHERE. What a pain to clean!! Why would this happen? I had only had it for a week.

Garlic is overpowering. Can't use it. The description on the jar said a "hint of garlic". When you open the jar, the smell of garlic is pungent, and it lingers in your kitchen. Much prefer the Kirkland basil pesto.

Great flavor. Best with a top-notch extra virgin olive oil. Pasta, olive oil, this pesto, and some freshly grated Romano cheese... to die for. Add into the mix a can of Sam's canned chicken breast to fortify with protein if you like. Either way, don't over cook the pasta... al dente, al dente, al dente! Restaurant quality. Superb.

This is my go-to pesto sauce, and I always keep it on hand. One jar can make about 5 pretty nice fast pesto pasta meals. I divide the jar into 5 containers and into the freezer they go. My homemade pesto made from fresh basil, pine nuts and olive oil might be slightly better, but this is SO much easier. Great on chicken and more, too.

They were doing a taste sample in store and I spoke with EE on how she made this with chicken. I bought a bottle, and made it with some cut up chicken breasts. It was so easy to just dump, mix and cook. Im all about easy, cheap dinner ideas and this bottle was perfect for that! Definitely recommend

Ok pesto sauce. I think the kirkland signature pesto tastes better. I suspect it might be the quality of parmesan cheese. BUT, If you add blended spinach with this pesto sauce to feed vegetables to your kids, you can ignore the average-ness of this sauce for the greater good. if you are feeling adventerous, blend some boiled carrots while you are there for extra sweetness and orange undertones .

This is an excellent dip for Sam's Club pizza a topper for baked potatoes, and as a garnish for burgers. If there is some left in the jar prior to expiration date, just pop into ice cube trays and freeze for later use. Make sure that you stir it completely prior to use as the olive oil tends to gather at the top of the jar.
