INCREDIBLE FEATURE...AND SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my new ATCL Model 65Q671G from BJ's last week, and was delivered right on time yesterday. My decision to purchase this model was based solely on the fact that this model has a feature which I have not found on any other television brand ANYWHERE, after looking for almost one year at nearly every other brand and model sold in the US. This feature is its having an "Audio Headphone Out" slot which allows the user to listen to the sound on headphones......without "muting/turning off" the sound on the main speakers. For persons who are hard of hearing, this incredibly feature allows them to adjust their headphone sound level, while other listeners can adjust the main speaker sound levels that are comfortable....without having the main speakers "blaring". However, upon installation, I was unable to find the menu that allowed me to select the various options for how the speakers were to be set up. So I called the support number and reached an absolute "angel" named Angella Jimena. Finding the answer to my problem was not easy, but she had me on the line for over thirty minutes while working with numerous departments within TCL, until she found someone in Tech Support who had the answer. She then walked me through the step by step procedure to select the option that allows the television to output sound to both the headphones.....and the main speakers.....at the same time. Had she not found and activated the feature,.......I most likely would have returned the television set. Instead....I am absolutely over the moon. And my wife and family are even more grateful, now that they can keep the main speakers at a "normal" volume instead of being turned to an extremely high level. And for those who ask why I don't just use hearing aides......I DO have hearing aides. But the spoken words from the main speakers is often not clear enough to understand. But using the headphones makes everything 100% crystal clear! THANK YOU TCL FOR THIS AMAZING FEATURE!! Sincerely D Cary

Great TV, 2 but please troubleshoot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are loving the sound and picture, but we have a few technical problems. First, this site - 1) our model number does not appear where that question is asked. 2) The "Contact Us" led me to a submission box which, after I clicked on a choice, rewarded me with "Sorry, but this form is no longer accepting submissions" and WITHOUT showing me any alternative(s). The TV problems: 1) captioning does not work correctly. With it on, I get no captions in Hulu, wrong-language ones in Paramount+ and intermittent ones in Roku. 2) We had a WiFi outage this morning, and after we got everything back up Hulu will not open on our new set. All our other platforms on that set still work. My Hulu account's good, because we opened it on both our laptops and on our OTHER TV, but your TV continually gives me "Loading Error" with a code ERROR98. I've closed and opened the platform (as suggested), turned the TV off and back on, and even turned it off and pulled the plus and after maybe 15 seconds plugged it back in and turned it on. Has to be something in the set. MOST of our watching and almost ALL of our live/local watching are through Hulu, and we'd usually watch in the living room on this big screen than in the bedroom (also a Smart TV, but only 32". I hope I have the option of adjusting your rating up if you fix this.

Customer service... Set up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I called for assistant with the set-up of my TV. The customer service person was Lon was very professional and helped me greatly. The only issue is I needed to contact the TV provider for assistance with their controls. Lon was very good with all aspects that I need. Including registering my product.

Good TV and lasts about 3 years

I have owned 6 TCL televisions, they last about 3 to 4 years. This works for me since I don't have to spend a fortune for something which will be outdated within a couple of years. I would have given 5 stars if this had ROKU since the Google interface is very clunky both in looks and operation, freezing frequently. If you're looking for a TV to last a long time, look elsewhere. Otherwise this one is a good buy and decent picture.
