Purchased to protect the food in the fridge from spoiling during a power outage. Have not tried it during an emergency, but from the test I done. It will power two refrigerators and numerous light through out the house. I could not justify purchasing a Honda for 5X more money when this Generator will do the same.

After carefully looking over numerous generators, I decided on the Westinghouse IGen4500DFc. It shipped from Ohio to Maine in two days and was delivered without issue. The generator with attached wheels, pullout handle and two carry handles made it easy for me to bring it up my steps and into the home by myself. When I did take it out of the box all looked good but I realized that I had received the Igen4500DF and not the DFc which includes a CO2 sensor but is otherwise identical. I sent an email to the seller that same day to request support and received a response from Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment within 1 hour, and it was a Friday and Veterans Day to boot! A resolution was offered that satisfied me and I kept the IGen4500DF. My primary reason for going with this generator is for the ability to use propane as the primary fuel source and gasoline as a backup. It will be used primarily during power outages to power up my mobil homes furnace, refrigerator, some lights and misc small appliances. The clean power produced by this inverter generator ensures that I can power up my personal computer and smart tv with no worries. I have 2 30# and 2 20# propane tanks that will store indefinitely versus the limitation of storing gasoline. My advice, as everyone's situation is different is to carefully consider how you will use a generator and buy what will do the job without buying bigger than you need as bigger is heavier and in the case of inverter generators more expensive for sure.

I bought this generator 3 months ago and use it while camping. I have solely ran the system on propane. It has worked great for running the A/C. I did found that I had to watch which other electronics were running at the same time so I didn’t trip the generator (I had to force my 2 way refrigerator use only propane otherwise the refrigerator and A/C could not run on the generator). The weight of the generator is pretty heavy to get it in the back of the truck by myself, but it is easy with a second person. The wheels and handle are a life saver.

This is an excellent product. It was ordered online and delivered on time with no issues. Set up was quite easy thanks to good directions and inclusion of tools such as oil, wrenches, and connectors. The primary reason this generator was purchased was its dual fuel capability and both worked fine. This generator is portable however it would be better if total weight was less. Happy with this product and am confident it will be reliable in an emergency.

I have had this generator going on two years and it has performed perfectly during power outages due to fires, traffic accidents and power company maintenance, it has run all my devices without any issues, the Eco mode feature is extremely useful to conserve fuel when running for long periods, I have never needed to run more wattage than the Eco mode limit so available power is more than enough, the built in power and maintenance display is very helpful to monitor load, voltage and hours, it has never been stressed or come close to it's limit. I had originally recommended this generator to a friend who did purchase it and after setting it up for him I decided to get get one myself. Very happy with this product and it's performance, I have not experienced any problems so I have no experience with support, maintenance of the generator is critical and must be performed regularly and stay within load limits, other than that all good!

I bought this a little over A month ago and have only ran the generator on Propane for the break in period and have no issues as yet, My previous experience was a 5500 Onan LP gen. over 9 years and I prefer to run LP although having gas as an alternative is a great asset. because of the virus situation. I haven't been able to use it more, so far I'm impressed with the quality and quietness.

After weeks of research and seeing many great reviews for this generator, I took the plunge. Started up the first time out of the box. Difficult time finding the serial number on the machine, ridiculous to not supply a warranty card with serial number printed on it as most manufacturers do. Also, didn't like that they supply you with a container of oil, however, if you pour in all of it, as anyone would expect to do, it overflows the reservoir...as the manual tells you not to do. Should be shipped with the EXACT amount of oil required for one fill. Other than that I am very pleased, though I have only used it for a few minutes so far on a test. The dual fuel option is fantastic.

I don't normally like to leave ratings until I've fully used the product for a long amount of time but because I've been asked to leave a review in exchange for a cover I'll leave a review based on first impressions and come back and alter it if need be. So far I'm happy with the product although I haven't been able to fully test yet! It's definitely one of the best products in this category you can find when you compare it spec and feature wise with all of the competitors. Looking forward to using it more to determine if it fully lives up to what it says!

First generator I've bought and very happy. Low noise, very easy to use, controls on the front and easy to read. Dual fuel so important because I can store propane easier that fuel, but if i'm going to have extended use I can use gas, or what's most available. My wife loves how easy she can connect propane and start the generator. Handle makes it very easy to move. We are very happy with this generator

I bought this generator/inverter for my rv when we go “no hookups” camping. The “quick start” guide was just a few simple steps that were super easy to follow. It started up immediately on first try. Runs smooth and very quiet. I couldn’t be happier.
