Perfect for remote cabin

I received the generator as an early Christmas present from my husband. It was bought to replace a noisy gas powered generator for our remote cabin. The dual fuel capabilities as well as the quietness were my requirements. On another note, the generator itself is heavy, but the telescoping handle makes it easy to roll around. AS I have just received the generator, I have not put it through any rigorous use.

IGEN4500DF

Just got this generator & still breaking it in. like how quiet it is, the large fuel tank & how powerful it seems to be. just putting light lads on it yet when breaking in, but it takes quite a bit to get it up to 1/4 load. Should work well for us as we travel from one dirt track race to the next. Anxious to see how economical it is on fuel. Plan on primarily running it on gas & using the LP as a backup source.

Nice Inverter

Added oil, hooked up battery. Decided to use propane to fuel it - seems to work fine although have not really tested it much yet. All the features seem to work as advertised. Definitely a two person lift at nearly 100 lb. The attached wheels and handle work fine, but it's not meant for rugged terrain. Gave it a 4 star rating as I need to use it more to see how it holds up. Have not used it with gasoline.

Complete Solution

The iGen4500DF is my complete power solution to dry camping adventures. It has enough power to run an A/C unit and still weighs in at around 100lbs. The dual fuel option gives me flexibility wherever we travel. It is relatively quiet (as generators go) and the remote start is very convenient when you need to power up in the morning (after quiet hours of course) to brew some coffee.

Great Product

I bought two of these generators to power our RV as well as multiple blow up structures and appliances. The two can split up all the items or run in parallel and handle everything together. The propane option is great. Easy to transport, longer expiration date, doesn't stink up the RV and when switching from gas to propane, the machine actually cleans our the carburetor. Couldn't be happier!!

Very quiet! Great features

Bought this back in October, 2021 to avoid another potential ice storm in Central Texas like in 2020. I have used the more conventional generators in the past for various events like for bouncy houses and P/A systems. Finding where to put those generators was always difficult as they were so loud. When I fired up the iGen4500 for the first time to do the initial 'burn-in', I thought maybe something was wrong how quiet it was and it wasn't even in eco mode. I read up on the benefits of an inverter generator but hadn't used one yet so I was happily surprised I wouldn't be keeping the neighbors up if we needed to run it later in the evening. I haven't had to use it with large equipment needing more power yet, the first will be in the spring (unless we hit another ice storm first). I chose the dual-fuel model as I prefer propane over regular gasoline. Easier to store and doesn't need any additives like stabilizer. Having it's own start-up battery was the final pro that convinced me. Reading that the battery will charge while the generator is on is an added bonus. I have a gas-powered pressure washer and I'm constantly having to remember to charge it before use or having to deal with the pull string. Inverter generators are known to be lighter in weight. It's still a combustible engine , with a built-in battery, so it still has some girth to it. I recommend two people to lift it up. The extendable handle works great and it's easy to move around. As I mentioned, I haven't had it very long with minimal use but extremely happy with the purchase!

Highly rated generator

Ive been waiting for this generator to be in stock for a long time. When I get it and go over everything before use(check plug gap, oil fill, pull operation, battery voltage, all fasteners, and all wiring. Upon pulling the front control panel I find that the plastic framing is split/cracked at least a foot from top to bottom. Not happy about lack of product inspection. This will ultimately shorten the life of this product due to increased vibration throughout the unit.

Great little generator

I use a generator only a few times a year. So many times I have seen people having trouble starting their generator after sitting for long time due to usually carburetor issue. I am glad that this one uses propane. Now I don't have to worry about generator not starting from carburetor issue. It also is battery operated and makes it easier to start, and it also has remote controller. It is quiet and comes with two USB chargers. It is very user friendly. Well made machine! I am going to take it to my camping trip, and will be using it during hurricane season. Now I can bring all my electric tools on my trip. Oh, by the way I had hard time locating serial number, It was not on the generator. I found it on a sticker stuck on the front page of user's manual. It doesn't say it is serial number, but I just guessed then what other number would it be? I used this number to register and website took it.

Compact, Easy to operate

I did a lot of research before purchasing this generator, and so far, I'm very pleased with it. The instructions and controls are clear and intuitive, and the generator itself is solid and seems of good quality. It's heavy (around 100lbs without gas) but the built-in handles, wheels, and telescoping handle make it pretty easy to move around. It's going on its first long camping trip soon, so I'll update if anything changes, but so far I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Nice Generator

This unit ( iGen5000DFc ) is a sweet little powerhouse for pretty much any 120 volt application. We live in a rural setting with frequent, but usually limited duration power outages, and can't justify the cost of a permanently installed backup generator, so having temporary power just by running a few cords is real peace of mind. Our typical setup includes 2 refrigerators, 1 freezer, coffee maker, furnace, sump pump, a couple of floor fans, WiFi and a/v equipment. Plus a few lamps and power strips. So far it works great. Easy set up, and quiet operation. No regrets.
