Predator can’t compete

Bought this and 2 more. Another 5000c and a 1500c. All 3 work flawlessly and I could not be more pleased. Outperforms by neighbors Predator and he paid twice what I did. (Idiot) The dual fuel will be especially useful when gas is scarce because the station have no power to pump it like after the hurricane last year.

Did everything it said it would and never had an i

Didnt see many reviews for my 5000 model but the duel fuel plus the ease for someone that has NEVER used one of these before was as advertised. I didnt run a super heavy load on it but for the fridge and freezer and necessites it did it seamlessly. Also wasnt super loud

Nice Genny with cool features

I just purchased iGen4500. Shipped quick from authorized retailer. Nicely layed out control panel and weather resistant covers. A bit louder than I assumed. I think that is my lack of knowledge on db rating for generators. I measured this at 52db at 20ft on Eco Mode on light load. I then turned on a/c, all interior and exterior lights, radio and refrigerator and ran microwave the generator ran at 64db at 20 feet away. I haven't put it through use yet so, I can't accurately rate its performance but out of the box and first start I was very happy with my purchase.

Great generator. Quiet, efficient, nice features!

I bought this a couple of months ago. I'm glad I did, since they seem to be out of stock everywhere now. I've used it a few times and really like it. It's actually quieter than my 2200 watt top name generator. I bought this for use with my travel trailer, but I will set it up to run with my home generator set up as well now. I'm very happy and recommend the product. I do have the dual fuel model.

Great craftsmanship

I purchased the iGen4500DF and can’t say enough great things about it. Quality of the generator is great. Love the full enclosure of this product - overall a clean look. Runs quietly even when being pushed to its max outputs. Would highly recommend this to anyone considering a portable and powerful generator.

So far so good

After 3 PGE-mandated power outages in 6 weeks, I bought the generator for my home. It is more than enough power to keep the TV, fridge, a couple of lights, microwave, coffee pot, internet, etc., going during the day. It is quiet relative to other generators I hear in my neighborhood, and I liked the idea of propane as it is easy to access and requires less maintenance than gas. It was easy to set up. The LED readout does not seem to be tracking running hours -- displays "F00" which does not correlate to the manual.

Premature rating, but positive so far

Got this a couple weeks ago and went through the break on period. While breaking it in I tested all the features to see if it was working properly. So far so good. Just what I was looking for. Now it’s ready for it’s true test; power outage. Quite at idle and low watt items. Does get a little loud when under heavy strain. Oil change is a bit cumbersome. Nice compact package. Nice features. Like the recoil backup start. Love the propane option. Handle vibrates when running, a little annoying. Plastic cover showed some minor damage. Overall it should meet my needs and it’s what it promised. Pretty minor complaints, but it did make me knock off a star.

iGen4500DF

I purchased this generator primarily for RVing after camping next to someone that was using the same model to power their camper. My Onan generator was much louder. This unit is quiet and efficient and I love the ability to run on a tank of propane instead of being dependent on gasoline only. I definitely recommend this unit.

Excellent Generator.

We bought this generator to run our camper. So far we have taken it out and used it once. It does not disappoint. Runs everything in our camper no problem and the remote is super handy. Starts most times no problem. Make sure to turn off the battery switch if you do not use it for a while so the battery doesn't die. Other than that its a nice unit.

Very Quiet, Nice Features

This will have to serve as a short term review, since I only started it up today, but I must say, so far I'm impressed! I ordered this from the Home Depot website, and it was delivered with free shipping, It was boxed up very nicely and I like that it included oil (PLUS) with the purchase, and the battery had enough charge to start the unit (PLUS). I unboxed it, which took about 5 minutes, read through the quick start guide (less than 5 minutes), then using the extending handle (PLUS) I rolled it outside like a suitcase.. Easy peasy. Outside, I snapped off the oil and battery covers, put the oil in the unit with the INCLUDED funnel (PLUS), and connected the battery cables with the simple plug adapter (PLUS) that you can hook directly up to a battery tender jr if you wanted to (PLUS). The unit also comes with an outlet adapter to charge the battery from your 110v outlet (PLUS). I added about a gallon of gasoline and a quarter ounce of stabil, took the remote control and hit the start button. It fired right up! I couldn't believe how quiet it was! (SUPER PLUS). Then I put it on eco mode and it got even quieter!!! I hooked up an electric hammer drill to check how much it would ramp up.. it was barely affected, the drill was twice as loud as the IGEN. So it took me about 10-15 minutes to get this thing ready to use. The maintenance schedule says to change that oil after 20 hours of use, so I will do that or maybe sooner. Then as I read the manual, I saw another PLUS, a free gift for leaving a review.. it didn't say it had to be a good review or anything, but in this case, I have nothing but good things to say about this machine, so far. I hope it lasts, but with a 3 yr warranty, I'm not all that concerned. Time will tell.
