TV died in 18 months
We purchased this in November 2018. It stopped working (died) while watching it. Purchased 4 year extended warranty. Spent HOURS (days and nights) with Sam's extended warranty company. Offered less than what it costs to buy new. To dispute that...... now will require a few more hours on the phone.
Awful UI and software logic.
i unboxed the tv, turned it on, was super confused by all the ads and apps that were preinstalled. i finally found the app store. found the spectrum app to download, select “download”…. error popup shows reading, “ not enough room. consider creating some space by removing some apps.” i checked the setting and sure enough it was 90% full i proceed to the 78 preinstalled apps select “sling” click delete…. error popup shows up “basic set of apps on your device annot be deleted”. all that to say, this isnt a normal smart tv, its a tv that samsung uses to push their software as a service and if you dont use their service, they will make it painful until you give in and get their services.

i recently did a review of this product. i returned it because it was complete trash and never worked correctly. i specifically said in my review that i spent hours with tech-support and samsung replied by saying i should do everything that i explicitly said i did in my review. reading samsung replies to bad reviews i notice the trend of them obviously not caring about the customer experience and making a lot of excuses of why thier product does not work. all this does is reinforce my belief that i should never buy a samsung product again. i am very happy with the lg i traded up for. don't waste your time. buy another product that actually works correctly.

This “smart” TV is hot garbage
it comes with faux cable programming that resembles a mirror dimension of tv. odd, and almost laughable. you will turn the tv on thinking you're hitting your cable plan, but in reality you're in this b-rated tv hell. you'll set it up to your wifi, only to have it disconnect *while using the wifi” and the only thing ive seen work is to turn off the tv and hold the power button on the remote untill the tv turns on again. you may decide to download an app like pandora. be prepared to hit “install” about 50 times before it actually installs it. you then realize it only has one hdmi port, so your options are to hook it up to an av system so you can have apple tv and cable, or just deal with the poorly designed, buggy smart tv app.

Save your money
this tv is impossible to set up. it would not get past the screen where you accept the terms. i tried for 4 hours, gave up and took it all the way back to the store and traded it for a 6 series. no issues with the 6 series at all. set up in 5 minutes. stay away from the 7000 series they have garbage software on them. this is the 4th samsung tv i have purchased. i would give it zero stars.

Screen is too dark.
the screen is so dark even with the brightness turned all the way up. the mandalorian on disney+, fargo on hulu, and minority report on samsung tv plus are all unwatchable because of how dark the screen is. i've researched this problem and it appears many others have experienced this problem as well, see here: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/tu7000-too-dark/td-p/1890701

If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright you can try Dynamic Picture Mode, or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking. Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic Or manually adjust the Brightness and other settings to your liking. Go to: Settings> Picture> Expert Settings You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV, according to the ambient light level, to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings>Support>Software Update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. I hope this helps to improve your picture.
