Customer reviews for Samsung 55" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN55TU700DFXZA forNew Samsung TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have purchased other Samsung TVs in the past and have always been very satisfied. This TV we bought for our new home and couldn't wait to get it hooked up. Even though it is 75in, my husband and I were easily able to load it into our vehicle and then into our home. It was very easy to hook up and we love the great features and slim, easy to use remote, making everything fast and easy to access. Picture is sharp and clear, with great definition. We are both very happy with our new TV.
Very dark picture
i have had nothing but visios in the house for years. in the living room, where there is a lot of ambient light, the picture has always been somewhat dark. i decided to upgrade from the 55” visio to this 65” samsung. obviously bigger screen but ultimately a much darker experience. it is essentially unwatchable in daylight. im not exaggerating, most of the time we cant even make out what is on the screen unless we close the blinds and draw the curtains. its very annoying. im certain that when we upgrade this to a 75”, it will be a visio. i also bought a samsung soundbar to go with it. this was also problematic. it sould not sync no matter how much we tried to make it work. however, my 8 year old cheap insignia soundbar syncs right up to it. also not a fan of samsung remotes.
Hi Steve, Thank you for giving Samsung TVs a chance and providing us with feedback regarding the image quality and connectivity. I have a few recommendations which may help resolve the issues you are experiencing. First, let's ensure you are running the latest firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. Update from here if needed. Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings. For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic. Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings. You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the Brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. Regarding your Soundbar not connecting: Please know that our TVs have a Pass-Through audio feature. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay. On your TV, go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through. Also, ensure you have chosen the Soundbar as your output source. Go to Settings > Sound > Sound Output. If you have tried this and your issue persists, please reach out to Samsung Customer Support so that we can provide further troubleshooting. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Advisor
Great TV for the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this TV to use on our patio. It looks and sounds great with the integrated speakers and has held up well so far. I do cover it when not in use and when there is a storm and haven't had any issues so far. It connects easily to our network and gives us a second living room. Couldn't be happier.
Great picture quality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Several good things about the TV. The setup was super easy. Light weight. No problem moving it where we wanted. For a screen this size the picture quality and clarity are excellent. Even better than the series 8 65" we replaced. Don't do much gaming but a lot of streaming. There are so many apps set on the home app bar that can't be removed or even reordered. Makes for a crowded group of home apps. But overall a great TV.
Amazing display and amazing features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love having movie and game nights - the sound and display quality is the best - Whether you are having guests or a date. The screen was bright enough even when sunlight hit it. The Bluetooth option also allows me to connect it to a sound system - even headphones, when I want to watch something while my housemates are sleeping. It was easy to set up and easy to move around the place. 100% would recommend to anyone.
Great Quality for Price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our Samsung 82 inch TV for watching college sports and Live PD. Great HD quality and we get rave reviews from all our family and friends. One thing that we struggle with is only two HDMI inputs which makes it difficult for us. The biggest struggle is keeping our sound bar connected without having to okay the connection each time.
Great Picture Not so great sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over all I enjoy Samsung products and have sued them for as far back as I can remember however I must admit with this tv I'm a little let down while the picture is fantastic for the room my tv is in the speakers a bit lack luster and don't provide anywhere near an immersive experience like I was hoping for.
Great Overall Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall my experience has been neutral as I've owned the product for only around two-three months and upon turning on the screen one day there was a pinkish/redish tint to everything. It had seemed as if the brightness had increased too as pictures and images had blurred together and were no longer decipherable from each other. As far as before that, I had enjoyed it for watching and streaming movies or TV shows because the picture and colors are amazing. It also is acceptable for living room gaming as there is very little input delay but as far as refresh rate it could use some slight improvements. It wasn't intended for primarily gaming so it isn't a big concern compared to dedicated displays at higher price tags.

Incredible picture quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this tv for a couple of months I'm still impressed every time I turn it on. It takes old video games coming through a regular 1080p hdmi and makes them look like brand new 4K games. Game mode also set the tv to the perfect settings for gaming and automatically switches to tv mode when I go to a streaming app.
Died after only 16 months
i thought that buying this samsung tv would be a wise decision, but at least for this model it was not. with a warranty covering one year, it completely died after only 16 months. i tried fixing it myself by replacing the two main internal boards, but not luck. apparently a screen issue and not worth fixing. performance while it lasted was ok but not great . my main complaint would be an odd flickering of objects colored red. in the future i may give a lesser known brand a chance.
