Great TV that has held up wonderfully

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is actually for an older Q60D. It is a great tv that has given me no reason to replace it after years of use. The color is great, it adjusts the brightness according to the light in the room, the contrast even on older films is wonderful, and my 4k blurays look fantastic. Not to mention, the interface is very easy to navigate.

Ultra-sleek design

The Samsung Q60D QLED may be the lowest-end model in Samsung's QLED lineup, but if you are not looking just for fancy features, it will be best value for your money. Its overall Ultra-sleek design is more aesthetically pleasing than most TVs in its class, the picture is well-tuned right out of the box, easy to set up and its built-in smart platform provides those without a dedicated streaming device a way to access the best streaming services.

Great Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This QLED 43 inch replaced the one that lightening got in our bedroom. The picture and contrast is great. The new OLED 65 inch in the living room is way too dark with contrast too black even after going through the menu and settings. Wish I had purchased the QLED for the living room too!

Incredible picture quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks great, easy to use, just keep expectations realistic I’ve been using the Samsung Q60D for a while now and it’s been a pretty solid TV overall. Nothing crazy high-end, but it does what most people need and does it well. The picture is the best part. Colors are bright and pop a lot thanks to the QLED panel, and everything looks sharp in 4K. Movies and sports look great, and even regular TV looks better than you’d expect. It’s not going to give you super deep blacks like an OLED, but unless you’re really picky, it still looks really good. Setup was quick and easy, and the smart system is simple to use. All the main apps are there, and it runs smooth without lagging all over the place, which I’ve dealt with on other TVs. Now for the trade-offs. It’s only 60Hz, so if you’re big into gaming, this probably isn’t the one you want. And the sound is just okay—definitely not bad, but not impressive either. A soundbar would make a big difference. Overall though, it’s a great everyday TV. If you just want something that looks good, works well, and doesn’t cost a fortune, this one gets the job done without any drama.

Sound/remote

While the picture is clear, the sound is inadequate--especially when turning the tv on or switching channels. The biggest problem is with the remote, which is pitifully inadequate and a real pain in the neck to operate. It is a very cheaply made product and should be improved soonest.

Ads!!

At first, I loved this TV. I use it with an xbox series x so I never use any of the smart features because my xbox is faster on everything. But about 6 months after purchase the TV started playing ads! I looked everywhere on how to turn it off. The best recommendation was to disconnect it from the internet - fine, dont need it on there anyhow since I use a gaming console for everything but now it is constantly flipping back to the TV menu (about every other day) to remind me to turn the internet back on (so it can give me more ads). Absolutely would not and will not recommend this TV to anyone.
