So Quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lasko 18"Oscillating, EcoQuiet fan with remote is great! It's very quiet and offers 12speeds. The remote comes in very handy to turn it off and on and control the fan speeds. I definitely recommend it.

Short power wire

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works nice, has timer function, has variable speed and set speeds. Press the green knob and it cycles through set speeds of 1, 4 , 8 and 12. Press the timer and cycle through 1 hour increments to 8 hours. Remote control will of course get lost like all my other remotes for my fans and air conditioners. My only real issue is the plug is just a little too short. It could have been about 2 feet longer. Otherwise this is a really easy to put together fan. Didn’t need instructions.

Versatile and Easy to Operate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fan measures 18" across the cage that contains the blades. I got it assembled pretty quickly without tools. Both the cage and base are plastic. The fan is well balanced because the base is about 21" across. The various parts turn in place without screws. I carried it around the house and it held together. The pole is metal. I can adjust the fan almost vertically if I don't want it directly on my face. It clicks into position. It oscillates around 180 degrees. On its lowest speeds (1 - 3) it doesn't make any noise and I can feel the gentle breeze 12 ft away. Running it on its highest speeds (10 - 12) makes a strong sound. It's actually the blades I'm hearing because the DC motor makes no noise on any setting. I can fall asleep with the fan going and set it to turn off some time later. There's a dial on the front of the motor to turn to the various settings. The setting is illuminated. The remote has full functionality.

All plastic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not impressed with the fact that the whole entire thing is plastic , when it gets time to clean it it’s going to be extremely hard without a high pressure washer which I don’t have, I have a white one exactly like this and the cage is made of metal , one time this rips over and I’m sure it will break?

Awesome Fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lasko 18” oscillating fan is awesome!!! It’s few parts are very easy to assemble quickly. It stands approximately 53” high and 21” wide. It has 12 speeds which can be adjusted manually or with the included remote control. This fan is powerful, at the highest speed it actually leans back a little but doesn’t tip over. The lowest speed is great for air circulation. It oscillates smoothly and overall is quiet. It’s mostly thick plastic so the fan cage can be unsnapped in order to be cleaned. The only improvement needed is a heavier base instead of plastic . I really like this fan and definitely would recommend.

Best Fan I’ve Had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is so perfect. It’s larger than other floor fans. I use a fan to sleep at night and my old table fan made a noise that was so annoying. This fan is right next to my bed and all I hear is the air. No annoying noises. It rotates if I want to cool the whole room. And it has a remote. Its highest level is 12. At that level and rotating it definitely cools a room down fast. Very happy with this fan.

Paid for itself in reduced energy costs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My electric bill doubled since last year so I had to cut back on air conditioning use during the hot months. I knew that a light breeze can provide comfortable cooling with indoor temperatures in the mid 70s. The Lasko Oscillating 18-inch fan has worked wonders for my indoor comfort while sharply reducing the electric bill. Lasko starts with an innovative DC brushless motor that uses 50% less electricity than my old AC fan. The super efficient DC motor is similar to those used in expensive battery powered drills. It puts out a lot of power while using very little electricity. The energy sipping DC motor is matched to sophisticated electronics that provide 12 fan speeds, a 1 to 12 hour timed shutoff switch, 60 degree head oscillation and a convenient remote control. Additionally the fan has a unique "blue plug" that contains a safety device that automatically shuts the fan off in case of a motor malfunction or short circuit. I use the Lasko fan in my home office. The oscillating head efficiently can move up to 1800 cubic feet of air per minute around the room! I set it in the intermediate speed range for day use. That keeps a soft breeze moving and allows me to work comfortably while keeping the AC set to 75 degrees. The Lasko fan is quiet and allows me to easily conduct in-person or phone conversations. A medium speed and oscillation moves air gently; paperwork stays in place. The Lasko Oscillating Pedestal fan design and construction is excellent. A stiff, steel center support allows the fan to be raised or lowered up to 10 inches; 42 to 52 inches. Heavy-duty plastic is used for the five blades, two covers, motor housing and pedestal. The plastic is tough and easy to keep clean. Assembly was quick, simple and did not require any tools. The fan is surprisingly light at just eight pounds and can be easily carried around the house. The lower speeds, remote control and timed shut-off would be ideal for the bedroom and nighttime use. I may get a second one for the bedroom. The Lasko fan has paid for itself in reduced air conditioning costs. I expect it will last for many years. Another superb product from a well respected company and industry leader.

Nice Fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice fan, it's really big. The base isn’t that big but the fan part is. It'll actually be nice for inside or out. And in the shop in out hot Texas weather. I'll probably put it on the porch formy dog, keep him cooler. It's a good one.

Quiet Oscillating fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not my first Lasko Oscillating fan and probably won't be the last. The fan came in a box and required some assembly. My one and only beef with the product there was no assembly instructions and did required some trial and error to put it together. Took me about 5 min from box removal to complete set up though. The fan is pretty quiet and has multiple fan speeds. I compared it to my other Lasko fan and noticed it was much quieter and also seemed stronger. The fan features a dial to change fan speed which is pretty different. Not sure how I feel about it yet but it does have way more speed levels than the typical 3-4. The remote control is also pretty handy. Over all love this fan and brand. Would recommend and purchase again.

Terrible

First off if you've never bought a new pedestal fan. You will find out that you have to complety assemble this fan. Assembly is simple until you get to the front of the cage that snapes in place. It can be tricky to line up. The fan blade has to align with a notch and snap in place. It can be tricky. The next thing that will notice is how cheaply made this fan is. Not something you'd expect from a reputable brand. I don't like that the fan blade is not 18in. But the outside cage is. The speeds on max is no different than max speed on a 3 speed fan. It just allows you to fine tune your speed anywhere in between. 1 is the only night quiet mode. Everything else is pretty noticable. I don't like how everything is aligned and firmly in place. Yet somehow it has a wobble. The included remote has no batteries, is very cheaply made, small and easy to lose. In my opinion this fan is not worth it and way overpriced. It's hard to find a good fan under 100 to stay cool in the summer.
