This is probably the best playset for the money for a middle of the road playset. It's really tall so make sure you have the height clearance. I did this set myself in about 3.5 days, easily took around 24ish hours. Was worried I would need a ladder to install the roof but thankfully you can install most of it from the 2nd floor once you put the floor in. I am 300 lbs and it held my weight on the 2nd and 3rd floor just had to move slowly. They send a lot of spare nuts and bolts and most the wood came in good condition, maybe had 3-4 planks that had some splitting. Instructions were pretty straightforward, when I was confused I just used the Bilt app to help out. Just beware the wood is a very soft wood and its kind of flimsy and bent sometimes. It's a stunning set, only getting 4 stars because of the quality of the wood.

The playset is adorable and a great size, however, there were SO many hardware pieces missing it was extremely frustrating. We had to spend an entire day going to several different hardware stores just to find replacements for the hardware we were missing. There was also an abundance of extra hardware (just not the pieces we needed/were missing) if we had all of the parts we needed, this really would have been a pretty straightforward and uncomplicated project to put together, and as mentioned before, it is beautiful and our kids love it.

With a wide range of kids ages, we picked the Mystic Tower to give us the most types of play and the ability for the younger kids to keep playing as they get older. With the older kids, they were actually able to help us build it and learn how to use tools. The directions are very straightforward and when we ran into issues, it was because we didn't read everything correctly. We used both the BILT app and the paper directions. The first day, we organized all the parts by letter and then number in the open boxes and I used a sharpie to label which number each group was. The boxes come with little cardboard corners, so I also used those to label piles of wood. The second day we laid out all of the hardware on a table and got to work. It took us 3 days to complete. We learned a system with plastic cups where we would gather the hardware for each step in separate cups and then walk over to the work area to follow the steps. Ultimately, it was a big job, but it wasn't hard. We are not very handy and we completed it all, no problem. The kids love it and we have all the neighbor kids coming over to play all the time. They use the grill to play restaurant and they show everyone the secret door. The bigger kids love to lay on the web swing. It's a great swingset for the kids to have fun, and then it also looks really nice in our backyard.

Impressive swing set/tower! Our 3 %26 5 year olds love it! We were able to find a certified assembler searching google which was cheaper than using Sam's club as the coordinator. And so happy we did. It took two workers 8 straight hours, with no breaks to assemble it. And they have done hundreds of these. It does say a clear coat is needed to comply with the 5 year warranty terms. We will apply next summer. We opted for a sand base which acts like a giant sandbox. If we can get 5-7 years out of it, it will be money well spent. The Mystic Tower swing set has more character than the plastic lifetime ones but probably wont last as long. My guess is when the kids turn 10 and 12 they will be on to new things.

Nice looking swing set. However, I am disappointed with the quality. We purchased in December and my husband and son put it together in February. After a few months, the wood has split in multiple places and has also peeled in a couple places. The wood is pretty soft and is easily nicked. Some of the screws have even broken off. I would have submitted photos but I kept getting an error message saying the operation couldn't be completed

I purchased a Backyard Discovery Mystic Tower Cedar Swing Set for my grandchildren from Sam's Club, and I paid for assembly services with the purchase. Less than 6 months after it was purchased and assembled, my 2 year-old grandson opened the wooden door on the swing set, and it ripped off, exposing broken wood and visible nails. The play set is no longer usable, as it is unsafe.

Great playset! Be ready to devote three full days to get it together!

A decent swing set for the price, but I deducted stars for the poor installation process. I would recommend that you install the set yourself, (it's not that difficult) or hire a third party on your own to install it for less than what Sam's charges. I ordered the "Assembled" option on line expecting to get some information on the installation process. I went to my local Club to get information on the installer so I could contact them to see what I needed to do to prepare the site. I was told the Club didn't have that information and they directed me to call the Sam's Club 888 number. When I spoke with a representative there, they told me that Sam's does not coordinate the installation and that the manufacturer did the install. I called Backyard Discovery and they said no, they only install the sets they sell and that Sam's contracts with a third party directly for sets sold though Sam's. So I went back to my local club and spoke with another person in Customer Service who gave me the number for Angi's. I called them and they told me that they did not have any information from Sam's regarding my purchase or installation. After another trip to my Club, a supervisor told me that they no longer use Angi's, but she didn't know who the current installer is. About a week later I received a message from AIT, the company Sam's now uses, to tell me that someone would be at the house in two days between 1 and 5pm on a Friday. I called back to see if that was going to be a site inspection or the installation. I was told it would be the installation. I asked what I need to do and the woman at AIT said I didn't need to do anything. On Friday, three men from Go Configure came to do the installation. They told me that someone should have told me that the site should have been prepared and what I needed to do before their arrival. After getting the runaround for over a week I am now faced with doing extra work to remove the grass and put down landscape fabric working around the swing set that has already been installed. Plus I have to install screws that Go Configure missed. Why does no one at Sam's have any idea who the installation company is and what the installation process should be? I am very sorry I did not do the installation myself.

Was able to put together over course of a weekend with only one person (not recommended) great quality, my son loves the net swing.
