Great little security cameras for the sale price

Great daylight video but poor nighttime video quality. I added solar motion sensor floodlights near each camera and that helped tremendously. App works ok, and very happy that I don't need the service subscription for the cameras to work properly.

Buyer Beware

BEWARE OF BUYING ARLO PRODUCTS. My camers are just 4 years old and Arlo has decided to start an End Of Life policy that strips almost all of the free services. They are not grandfathering in legacy cameras except for the 7 day free cloud storage. Changing the rules of the game after it has started is unacceptable. They are offering a discount on new equipment or 12 months of subscription service but who's to say they won't change the rules again in the near future. Trust is earned and Arlo has broken that trust!!!!!

Tech support sucks!!!!

Like some of the other reviews that I read, I purchased this device last year thinking that I was going to make out good being it was less than the Ring doorbell. What a mistake! I am not that handy and it took me about 3 months going back and forth with tech support to get it straightened out. And it wasn't even them that straightened it out. You have been warned!

Junk! Don't believe reviews

I bought 2 sets of 4. Totaling 8. I Have 6 the first generation Arlo pro, 4 pro 2's, and 2 arlo ultras. They are great when they work. They have the worst customer service ever! They reroute you to different people in the all. They never answer your question. They have you reset the cameras all the time which is a pain. I have to climb up ladders every 3 days to bring them in, reset the hub and every single camera, get back on the ladder and try the sweet spot of where I want it. These have gone downhill. They also update your firmware automatically so you purposely have problems and will have to subscribe to the smart sinsceiption. It's $3 a month per camera. I have 20 cameras and an Arlo doorbell. Insane. Don't get these!

Better options exist for less money

Bought two of these systems. So far 2 of the 6 cameras have "bricked" within a year. No amount of troubleshooting both online and with Arlo has resolved the issue. When they worked, they worked well, but for the money, there are better options out there.
