[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great device to add to our 1972 built home. We are in the process of getting every room renovated & this is a must have in every home. This is a Smoke & Carbon Monoxide detector that has a 10 yr battery life by KIDDE. This device is self testing, reduce nuisance alarms which has enhanced sensing technology to reduce false alarms from cooking, & no low battery chirps. Love that you only have to change the battery every 10yrs which the device will alert after 10yrs once it has been powered! This was easy to install with a twist and click mounting bracket, so my husband had no problems. We only had fire detectors in our home but now we are so happy to have upgraded to Smoke & Carbon Monoxide detection device, both which can be fatal! So happy with this device!

I have had no issues so far, and it seems to do everything you’d want a smoke alarm to do. I really appreciate that this is the combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector, it makes me feel safer!

I was tired of the boring smoke detector that I had constantly beeped when there was no smoke. This smoke detector carbon monoxide alarm is awesome. You press the button to check to make sure it’s working and then you hang it up and it does its thing highly recommend 10 out of 10

First thing you notice is this carbon monoxide/smoke detector is more modern looking than the model it replaced. It still has the green status light to let you know the power supply is good. These are the loudest alarms I have ever heard. They work well and you can tell the difference in beep alarm for Carbon monoxide and smoke. Definitely recommend!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is completely practical. But I am a practical woman. I was so glad to see a two in one option to keep my family safe. I was also really excited that it didn’t need to be hardwired and the batteries never needed to be replaced. With a 10 year battery life this thing will be good to go for a while. There is a place to write a date of replacement so that we know when to replace the battery. The install was super easy- I did it myself with just a drill. And the testing process was easy to. It cycles through all of the beeps and various beeping alerts when you first test it. It is not loud or annoying, but just the right volume. I feel safer, just having this in my house and will buy some more for the rooms.

This unit actually could tell the difference between a "Fire" & an "Air Fryer", thank you sweet baby Jesus in your golden fleece diaper... I would recommend this product solely for that wonderful feature on its own. 😂 But in all seriousness, I think it is great. It detects SMOKE and CARBON MONOXIDE. It isn't ridiculously expensive, it is super easy to install with just two little screws, it looks nice, it's not too bulky (only 5 inches in diameter), there is no need to test it, it isn't supposed to have those annoying chirps that you search each room for, there is no need to wire it in because of the 10 year battery (Who wouldn't love that?), and it, so far, has not been a nuisance (Yay!). With my other previous unit, I would have to wave a hand towel, or a cutting board, to get it to stop screaming at me, for using my air fryer!!!Kudos to KIDDE for a great, much less annoying product.

I already have several Kidde smoke detectors in my home and they have always performed outstanding, so I was very happy to receive this combo smoke and carbon monoxide detector. Installation is very easy and comes with everything you need. Once the plate is installed, simply click the little red lever in the back to install onto the plate and it’s activated and ready to use. I tested this unit by pushing on the button on the front, and boy is it loud! It can easily be heard in every room of our home including the garage. Small investment to keep your family safe!

I put it in my basement near my furnace room and it works perfectly. It was easy to put on the wall. The battery works for 10 years. I’m hoping that won’t be a big deal to replace after 10 years.
