Kidde 10-Year Battery Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector with LED Warning Lights

My Model # 20SD10 gave us false alarms after only 6 Months

I had to permanently disable to shut off the alarm

bought about 2 months ago....Could not get alarm to stop...had to disconnect battery to get it stopped...thus any warranty is not honored.
WOULD NOT recommend this product.   Wasted money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this combo smoke and carbon monoxide alarm. Very nice item. We very easy to install. My other alarm was old and needing replacement. Very excited to get this new one.

What I like: 10 year battery, ease of installation, both smoke and co2 detectors

I don't like you have a smoke detector using a sealed lithium battery and lithium batteries can start fires so if IT starts the fire the detector is shot and I couldn't find an old fashioned 9volt. Its STUPID to use a fire hazard.. even marked on it.. as fore prevention

I used only Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in rental properties for 30 years. I had two bad experiences with the other well known brand, then switched to Kidde after seeing they're top rated in a national consumer magazine. I've never had a bad experience with Kidde detectors. The 10 year lithium battery models save money in the long  run and a chore every October.
