Purchased and activated October 2024. Unit failed July 2025 Unit was mounted in my residence according to instructions.

INSTALLED THE NEW KIDDE IN APRIL 2025. Took the place of old wired yearly-battery replacement units. No more false alarms in the middle of the night, and not being able to track down which unit needs battery replacement!!! Most of the problems listed in these reviews were for "defective out of the box" and they just need to replace and start over. I give it 5 state because easy to install, no more false alarms and ten years of peace and quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really happy to give this unit a try as a couple of my detectors have been have issues as of late. I will happily say that I can appreciate the longevity of the battery life of this unit. Installation was a breeze. I will gladly pick up more of these units to replace old out dated units I currently have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smoke detector seems to work great so far—it doesn’t seem overly sensitive and seems to function fine. Obviously this is something that you can’t really comment on fully until it’s served its purpose, but it’s great right now and was easy to install.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was extremely easy to install and seems to work great so far, I am hoping that it conserves battery life however I will not be able to attest to that just yet, so far I have not had to replace the batteries and It’s been about 2 months. I love the convenience of having a smoke & carbon monoxide alarm all built in one! It saves me space and money! Definitely worth the buy! And price point
