[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kidde - Detect Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm gives me peace of mind. I know that it will not fail my family if we were to have a fire or gas leak. It is the only brand we use and have around my home.. It’s easy to install and blends into the ceilings. It’s definitely something that should be in every household.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smoke detector is great! It detects carbon monoxide and smoke! It’s extremely easy to install and requires no batteries. Just open, install and that’s it. Lasts 10 years then will need to be replaced.

Installed on 1/20/2025. On Oct 3, 2025 the smoke detector started going off every few minutes. Nothing was wrong. Could not get the alarm to stop going off, even after rotating slotted arrow. Placed it outside and the dogs didn't appreciate it, so my husband took a hammer to it. We have another smoke detector to put our bedroom hallway, but every time we put it up it goes off. Kidde does not answer their phones.

I bought the alarm an installed it in February this year. No problems until this week, when it suddenly starts going off for 3-5 seconds in the middle of the night. By the time I get up and get to it, it's stopped beeping. I press "reset" -- it does its "green" flashes every 60s to say it's ok, but then 1/2 hour later, it does the same thing. Interrupted sleep for two nights. Checked online and there are tons of people who experience the same problem. Sounds like Kidde alarms are a dud for many, many folks

We haven't had it a whole year and it was faulty 4 months.

i like the fact that this detector lasts for 10 years and i don't have to change the battery

Good quality and 2 devices inside.

A little complicated to install but eventually figured it out.
