It was bought to make smoothies as a diet supplement. It was wonderful the first four and then it quit working. We had registered it and contacted Ninja and they are sending out a new base. I would like to give the 5 stars on what it did at first and 5 stars to Ninja for saying they will send a replacement, hoping it all goes well. We have 2 other Ninja products and they are amazing, that is why we went with this for the smoothies.

We LOVE our blender system! I use it every morning to make smoothies and we use it to make bread dough. My son uses it to make salsa and to chop veggies. It is a great price and shipping was fast. We got free shipping, because we are plus members. Would definitely buy again.

I’m really disappointed in this for a lot of different reasons that might not matter to anyone else, but for the price…I had to return it. I talked myself out of buying it for about a year before splurging. Brought it home, unboxed it and decided to make a smoothie with fresh cut watermelon, ice, and mint. I followed a recipe from (I believe) the ninja website. The machine is LOUD. That would be fine but…it didn’t even chop the watermelon up, let alone the ice. Chunks of both. The cup is giant, honestly I don’t think I’d ever be able to finish a drink that took up half that cup. I mainly got it to make a protein fluff for breakfast with yogurt and cottage cheese. It couldn’t mix it up. Still giant chunks of cottage cheese. Tried to use the dough hook to make naan from ninjas website…half the liquid was underneath the connector for the dough hook. It was a nightmare to clean. Again, let me say it is LOUD. I’d be fine with that….if it worked better. I was also terrified the plastic containers would break if a piece of ice hit the side of something the wrong way. I returned it and I don’t miss it at all. It took up a lot of room in my cupboard, and a cheaper blender would do a better job.

We were looking for a food processor when I found this at a reasonable price. It is a blender, processor, and a smoothie maker. This system is quite versatile, and my wife and I enjoy these added bonuses! The motor seems to be powerful enough to do each procedure well. I've processed meats, oats, and several other things in the processor effortlessly. The only drawback we've experienced is the unit doesn't process carrots, or celery well unless you cut the vegetables in smaller pieces. So, there is some extra work involved that you may not have with a traditional processor. However, the overall value of this unit, especially with the added features, is worth the extra time. It a great product, at a reasonable price. We would highly recommend.

We have made smoothies, bowls and cookies so far and all have been so easy with the Ninja. My smoothie has never been so silky smooth!
