I’m very happy with the look, clarity, and color! However, for sporadic commercials the volume goes up a lot, not all but some commercials. Also, after having the tv on for a while, it asks me to press a button if I’m still watching. What the heck? I don’t want to have to do that!

Replacing a 10yr. old Toshiba 28” 720p that still works. Woww..! This thing is night&day! Love the skinny edges & super bright screen! Too bright for me out of the box. Needed to go into Advance Settings to dial in your preferences for the Audio & Video. It was a bonus to be able to connect to a 10 year old sound bar! A lot of fun so far. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top of the line 42”.

A little fine tuning, for instance turning off motion smoothing which Samsung calls Auto Motion Plus, and you have an amazing picture.

Actual blackness in whatever you're watching. No more pixilated mess. Dark movies/ shows are an absolute dream to watch now. You can see everything. The screen itself is shiny, so any other lighting in the room will reflect on the screen while you are watching. So if you want light other than the screen, use backlighting.

Replaced a Sony 48A9S “Master Series” that in addition to numerous other annoying quirks had recently developed major “light leaks” all across the top and partially down both sides of the screen, with this 48” S90D model from Samsung. Initially, my choice of the S90D was primarily based on its size, since the space it was going wouldn’t handle anything larger…but once I had it set up…WOW! I cannot adequately describe my true joy when I discovered that not only did the picture quality match that of the much-touted Master Series set - in my considered opinion, it surpassed it. It also weighs less, which was a nice bonus. The solar remote that at first I thought might be a pain has been anything but…after I gave it an initial charge top-off via USB using an older 5-volt iPhone charging block and a cable that matched the remote’s input port, it’s been holding the charge for over two weeks now with no indication (checked in settings) of losing any power. The remote is similar in simplicity to a typical Roku remote; very simple to operate and quickly learn the various button positions/functions, so already now I rarely have to be looking at it while using it. So, put me down as a seriously happy owner, and as what I now expect to be a long-time customer and buyer of Samsung televisions! Sorry, Sony! Aloha from Honolulu, Mike F. 2-20-25

Replaced a 10 year old Vizio M series with this Samsung S90D 65" OLED. Love the thin profile and overall design. Found I needed to tone down the brightness and contrast of the OLED display to create a more natural and comfortable viewing experience. I won't use the "smart" features as I use Chromecast w/Google TV as my primary interface, but I do like the integration into Samsung Smartthings and the ability to control the TV via Google assistant.

Amazing television for gaming and so much accessibility to utilize nearly any application and streaming service you choose. I will never give this television up it was a great investment. The price and quality simply can't be beat!

This is our third Samsung TV in the last 15 years and not our last. Never needed to the warranty! Besides the great TV you get FREE NEWS, WEATHER, and A GAZILLION old movies and shows! Whenever I'm in a conversation and TV's comes up I strongly suggest buying a Samsung TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this TV for my pc, 4k 120hz gaming. It works well for it since even the earc port is 4k120. The picture quality is great, nothing bad I could possibly say about it so far. The only thing is, the base at the bottom is a bit thicker than the rest of the TV. That's what keeps this TV from being the 5 star TV that the s95 might have been for me.
