Fast delivery of product as shown and promised. Cameras were easy to install, but the DVR/NVR setup was not all that simple or as easy as expected. After several reboots and needing to create a DDNS ID, Password and Domain name we were finally able to get the system set up and configured to our personal preferences. The camera quality is outstanding! Wide view and bright colors in daylight and crystal clear B&W images at night. I've owned two prior systems from another company and I will never go back after seeing the Night Owl perform.

The cameras were easy to set up and place around the house. I was assuming I could use the cameras on various properties but they are connected with the bar drive device so all cameras must be used in the same property, beware of that when purchasing. If I am able to find a way to use the cameras at different properties without the hard drive I will update this post and let y’all know.

It fulfills it purpose of being a completely wire free camera that you can place anywhere within the range of the wireless recorder. Good features and sensitivity, and the ability to "Speak" through the Camera speaker and "Listen" using the Mobile Application. One Caveat though is that while they say "Up to 6months of Battery life" that must have been in an empty room with zero "Triggers" on the camera, since I have this configure to only trigger on "Human" and "Face" and with 10-12 Triggers per day, the batteries only last 2 weeks before needing a recharge. However, knowing that was likely, I also bought the wall charger that comes with a spare set of batteries so that you can just swap the dead ones with the fresh ones and put the others back on the charger for the next time.

I have only had this installed and running for a few days. One camera is on a back corner of a city lot and has good signal to the NRV in the front center of the house. I have been getting f fair amount of recordings that have nothing on them, better that than missing something. The events recorded on the NRV are different than the ones you see on the app. I did have a few problems with the set up. Some of the issues were me and some was the system. I received my system a couple weeks ago and got it installed. The cameras are nice, images are clear and crisp, and there are many things that can be configured with the system giving a lot of flexibility. Out of the box my cameras were not pre-paired to the receiver, so nothing worked. The install guide and online videos didn't help. I did an online chat with Support and they walked me through the pairing process. The Support team was great and the pairing process was easy but it was frustrating that I had to go that step. My other ding on the system is that the configuration interface is very old school. At this point, I would have expected to be able to use a web browser on a laptop to configure the system.

I bought a wired 4 camera system a few months ago and love it so when I was looking for a replacement doorbell camera and found that Night Owl made one it was a no brainer for me. Easy install and good video quality. Thanks Night Owl for great affordable products.

We bought this to install while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. Even though they are just temporarily set up we can see what is going on at home when we are 1700 miles away. Can't wait to set cameras permanently and learn more about the features of Night Owl.

About the third time I recharged the batteries the entire face of the camera came off. I unscrewed it and was able to charge it but cannot get the battery portion out of the housing. It's requires strong fingers to get the battery pack back into the housing after charging. I haven't decided if I will return the whole system or try to get a replacement. Technical support was very helpful getting things set up.

I’m not sure how good or bad the system is, I’m unable to set up an account using the recommended app. I can put all of my info in, but the continue button does not do a thing. I can’t set up an account, and I can’t go forward. I guess Monday I’ll have to call at lunchtime

We upgraded our system from an older Night Owl DVR and cameras. The picture clarity and the ease of the software to make it mobile viewable was so much better than our old system. I was told that the old cameras and cables were not compatible but they actually were, which made it much easier to install because I didn't have to pull wires except for the cameras I added.
