The more activity that triggers recording, the quicker the batteries will drain. We apologize for the issue you have been experiencing. Battery based systems are great for quick installation, but are impacted by cold temperatures impacting charge of the batteries as well as frequency of alerts. Our cameras are capable of holding 4 batteries to extend the lifespan between charges. The most significant factor is the sensitivity of the camera(s). Additionally, the frequency of traffic in the area also impacts life. We definitely don't think you should only have a day or two worth of life.
