Ok. So I bought 2 of these cameras. I didn't want to pay a subscription fee. I bought two micro sd cards 128gb to use for storeage and recording. I like the fact i can take pictures and they get saved to my gallery on my cell also the manual recording also goes to my gallery on my cell . Sofar 6 months I've had these cameras and they seem to work good. Sometimes a little behind but that could be my cell cause I have 1gb wifi and it is high speed. I also like the features that come with this camera. Was quik and easy to set. Came with 2 batteries each. I bought 4 more batteries and a charger cause 2 batteries don't last but 3 weeks if you use these cameras everyday for recording. Also I bought the solar panels so i wouldn't have to charge the batteries so often getting ready to connect them 2day. We'll see how they work out. The picture is very clear whether it's a recorded video,picture,or live. Just can't seem to figure out why sometimes the cameras are a little behind but all in all good cameras for the price.

1 of the 3 cameras works perfectly. The other 2 do not hold a charge. I would not buy this camera set. The 2 cameras won’t hold a charge for 24 hours. The 1 camera I haven’t had to charge yet. I’ve had the cameras for over 3 weeks!

Buying these cameras was based upon the battery specified as lasting 6 months and a very desireable features. So far the batteries have only lasted several days which is unacceptible. I tried to contact the manufacturer, they have made it difficult to even ask for help in resolving this problem. Therefore I plan to return this product if it does not start working as described.

I had such high hopes for these cameras, but they are terrible!!! You’re lucky if the battery lasts 24 hours on a full charge. Night Owl support claims that this is normal, so apparently it’s not a malfunction. Don’t waste your time on the battery powered ones. In addition, the human recognition is a joke!!! My camera has been claiming it detects a human face every minute for the last 3 hours when no one is in the frame! And of course that means it’s draining the battery rapidly. I never should have bought these. Their poor performance doesn’t give me a good opinion of the Night Owl brand at all, especially since their customer service says that they can’t help.

I have an issue with one camera and have called and emailed Night Owl warranty department. They are not responding even to the emails which they provided to give information. Their customer service is of little help and most the time after holding for almost an hour the recorded message will ask for you information so they can call you back. But they don’t. I would pick a different security camera product at Sams.

The batteries do not stay charged that well. you recharge them weekly. the company is difficult to deal with.

The batteries barely last two weeks. You have to use bare minimum settings. These are garbage. DO NOT BUY!!!

I bought this thinking I was getting a quality product because it's advertised to be designed and engineered in the US, however it's made in China. I installed my first camera with 2 included batteries after fully charging it overnight. 24 hours later it was down to 50% charge. It's advertised on their website that 2 batteries per camera should be good for up to 6 months, and 12 months with 4 batteries. At this rate I'll have to recharge it every 3 days and there's no way I'm doing that. That was only the beginning of my problems with this system. The weight of the camera with the batteries is too heavy for the cheap mounts which wouldn't hold the camera up at an angle. I had to tighten one of the mounts so much that it cracked trying to get it to hold up the camera. I even tried using some silicon adhesive just to keep the camera in place. I called technical support and they were less than helpful, and to my surprise could hardly communicate because it sounded like they were from some foreign country even though this company advertises to be a US based company. 😒 They said they would need to replace the camera because the mount was defective, so I guess all 3 camera mounts were defective since they were all doing the same thing? I think the design is defective, not the mount itself. None the less I am boxing everything up and sending it back since Sam's Club has a satisfaction guarantee and I am no where near satisfied with this product.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. THEIR PRODUCTS LEAK WATER, THEN THEY BLAME YOU FOR IT HAPPENING! NIGHT OWL HAS ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND TRULY DOESN'T HELP THE PURCHASER! GOING TO HIT MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY FOR THE MONEY BACK, CAUSE THIS COMPANY TRULY IS A FAILURE TO ITS CUSTOMERS! STAY AWAY FROM NIGHT OWL N THERE'S SO MANY BETTER COMPANIES!

Don’t recommend unless you dont mind charging it every few days
