[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Night Owl 1080p Wi-Fi smart security system arrived with easy to follow hookup and installation instructions and with all parts accounted for. We mounted 2 of the cameras on the outside of the house and 2 on a large shed outside. The cameras video is very clear and the spotlights work nicely. We already have captured a video of several deer in the backyard and a bear drinking out of our hummingbird feeder. I really like the two way audio feature especially for the camera by the front door. It’s also nice to know if I want to expand I have an additional 6 channels I can use with a 1TB hard drive. I’m so happy with this system and the security it has brought my family!

The camera have great features as I have the battery powered version. However, they mean nothing if the app itself doesn’t work properly or even at all sometimes. There are many downsides at the moment. From failing to connect to your cameras and viewing through them on the app to constant loading without end throughout the app such as finding your system or cameras and viewing recorded history. On the cameras, while they have great features, they don’t always work. Notice sometimes they don’t record anything even though did previously. Got them mainly for the subscription free part and app viewing while away with the nice features, but right now only the subscription free is all I’m getting out of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Night Owl doorbell camera has a nice clear sharp picture and two way audio communication. But it only has live feed unless you have a micro sd card or a Night Owl hard drive to record on. Installation was semi easy and the application was easy to set up on phone. I would recommend it to my friends.

Ease of set-up: 5 stars, the app makes it easy, haven't tried the monitor and keyboard configuration Storage: 5 stars, no subscription, no cloud. 1TB seems to be plenty of room; two months in and I still have over 900GB of space. Quality: 1080p, looks good on the phone. Haven't verified on a dedicated monitor. Motion detection: 2 stars, needs work. Cameras/system unable to truly differentiate between a person or cars. Cameras will record regardless what it detects. Recording: 3 stars - cameras/ System takes too long to start recording. A delivery person detected will already be walking away from the front door area before the recording kicks in; this is like a 4-6 second delay. Battery: .5 stars - definitely not as advertised. This is the biggest disappointment. The batteries supplied (2 for each camera) lasted about 1 month, on full charge, before needing to be recharged; even with the spotlight feature turned off. Purchased additional batteries to be able to install 4 batteries in each camera, and the time before recharge seems to increased to two months, less time on my front door camera due to increased activity. Overall option: An okay camera system of people looking for value and getting used to setting up their first system. Wireless is a good option users in rental properties where drilling through walls for wires or where power access is limited or not allowed. Person/car detection needs work; record delay needs to be improved.

Do not recommend this product. Received new doorbell Model# DB-WNIP2-SU a week ago. Performed installation of device following installation videos. Device connected well and worked for apprximately 10 minutes. Then the device was automatically removed from the App, and unable to add it again. Unable to pair device to the application. Called tech support twice. After 25 minutes on hold, the first rep was hard to understand and unable to solve anything. He asked me to performed the same tasks already done prior to the call as explained previoulsy. Phone call was disconnected. Called back and waited 38 minutes for a rep. The second rep tried several things with no luck. Lastly referred me to a video for connection of cameras..... Too bad it was a gift and unable to return it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my night owl doorbell. We fixed our basement into a man cave so while we are downstairs we can see and talk to whoever is at the door. The night vision is 30 feet and works well. I would recommend this to anyone!

Installation was very straightforward and easy to do. The doorbell provides video recording of anyone at our door, so we have peace of mind knowing who is on the other side. I really like the features offered and how easy it is to operate. I’m able to see a clear picture of anyone who is at my door, so I feel safe when I open it. This is an excellent product for anyone who is looking to add a convenient safety feature to their home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice feature to have at the front door. I can see who is at the door and record throughout the day. The doorbell is easy to install and is wired in. There is an app to use with the doorbell so I can be notified when there are people at the door when I am not home and it helps when I have packages delivered. The great feature is then is a tech support number provided for when I need it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera doorbell is a great find. The installation was simple, through an app and anything you can't figure out, they have videos on youtube. It supports 2-way audio, so you can talk to the people ringing your bell. Multiple options for storing video recordings, including local hard drive and microSD, for those who don't want yet another subscription. It's a little large, when you use the mounting plate but I am OK with it. You can either connect it standalone through wifi to the nightowl app or you can connect it to a nightowl gateway to manage it with other nightowl devices.
