[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to take off a star for 1 poorly designed screen on the Night Owl Protect App on Android. I know this review is for the doorbell and not the app, but the doorbell 100% depends on that app for setup. I still would recommend this doorbell because after getting past that hurdle it has been great. The rest of the setup was just fine and the unit has performed perfectly. The "live-view" comes up on my phone faster than my old doorbell. I also really like that this unit has a built-in battery to deal with power hiccups, sd card slot for off-line video storage, AND a usb port so you can set everything up BEFORE you install it. That last feature was sorely missing from the doorbell this is replacing. I also like that it came with 2 different mounting plates with one allowing you to angle the doorbell more towards or away from the door.

Installation was super easy and requires minimal experience. The features of the doorbell are exceptional and it works beautifully. I like that it has a sensor that detects people at the door and has a wide angle range that allows you to see everything. The facial capture is super clear and allows you to safely view who is ringing the bell. It also has a night vision feature allowing you to see up to 30 feet in the dark and still know who is at the door. I like that you can record and especially audio which is super helpful in bad situations with a micro SD card but also has several options available to suit your needs. The camera quality is super making this a must have to use as a stand alone doorbell but with enhanced safety features.

I am beyond happy with this product. I used to pay high monthly contract fees to other company, only to be annoyed with constant false alarms . With night owl, it is top notch security at your fingertips. Super easy to install, a diy’s dream. Most important, a steal for such quality. It is without questions one of the best in the market. I am beyond happy to have chosen night owl product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Night owl wireless security system is Awesome. I have been looking for a new security system for a While now. I needed it to be wireless because of the setup I needed. The setup was very easy and straightforward. The cameras linked to the DVR first try and I have no problems with anything. The clarity of the cameras is GREAT. Crystal clear in the day and night. The infrared is really good. It lites up my whole yard and the 2-way audio is good for talking to someone you see on your camera. I will definitely be adding a few more cameras to my system.

I love that it came with the mounting plates and very clear instructions. The app is also very user friendly. However it is quite slow. The 2 way audio is a super cool feature. Nice quality HD resolution. It works well and helps our family feel safe. Plus I love the added sticker to tell all that we have it!

This camera was great for my home. After I set it up it was easy to use. It took no time at all to learn how the app worked and I was up and running. The picture quality was great and I was able to use the audio feature to tell guy delivery a package to my house where to leave it. Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed the system just over 1 week ago. First off, it is packaged very nicely, very professional presentation. The hardware appears to be very high quality. I did notice the power wires for the cameras were about 10ft. I ended upbhaving to buy additional extension wires in order to power the cameras. I had some intianl difficulty getting the firmware updated and the app working properly. About 30 minutes with tech support and everything was up and running. Picture quality and sound have been great. My biggest complaint is the amount of false positive recordings I am getting at night. I have since had to turn off the automatic notifications. I beleive it is an issue with lights/shadowing. Overall I am pleased with the system.

Do not recommend this product. Received new doorbell Model# DB-WNIP2-SU a week ago. Performed installation of device following installation videos. Device connected well and worked for apprximately 10 minutes. Then the device was automatically removed from the App, and unable to add it again. Unable to pair device to the application. Called tech support twice. After 25 minutes on hold, the first rep was hard to understand and unable to solve anything. He asked me to performed the same tasks already done prior to the call as explained previoulsy. Phone call was disconnected. Called back and waited 38 minutes for a rep. The second rep tried several things with no luck. Lastly referred me to a video for connection of cameras..... Too bad it was a gift and unable to return it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the Night Owl video doorbell. It is very easy and quick to install. I love that I can see who is at my frontdoor from anywhere. The phone app works well, so you can see who is there. No more people stealing your packages.
