Use Smart Things on Your Phone as the Remote

Excellent picture and sound. Very poor remote. Samsung needs to improve the remote and it functionality. However, Smart Things has a remote that is very good. Forget the remote. Use you phone. Smart Things even has the ability to make it accessible. Smart things saved me from returning the TV. I read a lot of reviews about the TV before buying it. Many of them mention the remote is difficult to use. That should be enough to get Samsung to improve their remote. I am thankful that I can use my phone as the remote in Smart Things. That saved the day.

It's an ok TV

WE bought our newTV about 3 months ago. I had issues connecting it to our internet service. I had to contact Samsung thru their chat. It took a while but got it connected, We replaced a smaller Samsung we had for 7 years. The new TV has a different screen menu , I found the older menu easier to work with, especially loading the apps. Our biggest issue is the brightness , the "night scenes" on the programs are very dark. The brightness has been set to the max, daytime scenes are ok. Turning on the TV, the menu remembers where you left off. So basically that program is where you start. Our older Samsung did not have that function, which I preferred. Apps were easier to install as well.

Nice picture, but the TV sucks

Worst TV I ever bought. It's too complicated. The sound output has died multiple times on it. I had to pull the plug on the tvto reset it. To prove my point about it being too complicated the owner's manual is 254 pages long. My TCL Roku TV is much easier to operate.

Picture Looks Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased TV as a Christmas gift. It is a 75 inch and fits perfectly in our living room. We couldn't be more happier with the picture quality. I have seen others comment about sound quality, but the sound is not a problem at all. I was looking at the LG, but I'm completely satisfied that I purchased the Samsung. Great price, picture and all of the above.

Great addition to our home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV was purchased to replace another Samsung TV we had for over 10 years. Excited to add it to our Master Bedroom area as the main focus piece in the room. With a 55" display, it can be seen from all areas in the room. We are very pleased with the picture and sound quality. Really like the new technology advacements that Samsung has put into their products. Now we can control the device with our smartphone. This is a great feature since we often get busy and forget to turn the unit off when leaving the room.

Should have thought it over.

This is new, so working great. But, the reason I had to buy this TV is the main concern. This is my 3rd. Samsung TV in less than 10 years. This is because 2 before this one both had Back light go out. First 1, the entire screen went black just 3 years old. The 2nd. Just the 2nd year in half the screen was going dark. I didn't think about it long enough when I purchased this 1, or I would have bought a different brand. But, I have bought so many other Samsung products I just didn't think it over.

55" Class Crystal UHD DU7200-No optical cable port

This television is fantastic for our needs However, there is no optical cable port which has prevented us from utilizing one remote for all the purposes we need. That was very disappointing. We are now in the process of finding a converter cable so we don’t have to buy a new HDMI soundbar.

Little disappointed

Disappointed. After setting up the TV, everything works fine for about a month and then the TV all of a sudden has no sounds. The TV had to be turned off several times and then the sounds came back. TV works fine and the it happened again few days later with sounds distorted. Restarted the TV again twice, nothing works. Waited few hours as I needed to go out, sounds returned when I got back and turned the unit back on. Obviously there was some defective someone. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to engaged customer service with the issues as I had family issues to take care of. This is my second Sam Sung TV in the house. First one still functioning well purchased 5 yrs ago. I can’t say he same for this latest one even though it supposed to be better than the previous one that I have

There are a few troubleshooting steps I recommend trying: 1) Please check the volume control of your TV, and then check the volume control of any external devices (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between any external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again. 2) Set Sound Output to the TV Speaker by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Output. 3) Check whether Digital Output Audio Format is set to Pass-Through by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > Auto. Living room TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV is set in my living room and it's perfect for movies, Xbox games with its built game mode. The TV is easy to stream to via wifi and also responds fast to other connections like Bluetooth headphones. The colors are clear and vibrant. The black colors could be deeper but, honestly, they aren't bad at all. The TV speakers aren't great but I use a sound bar for audio so the TV speakers are never used anyway. Overall, this is a great and affordable TV. I enjoy using it daily.
