I bought this for my small apartment. It works good. I noticed that the display does go dark after it is running. I just run in energy savings mode. It cools nice and i have used the Wi-Fi function and it seems to work good so far. It can be a bit noisy when the fan is running on high. But i'm used to central air at my main location. So it cools good and does it's job. The price was cheaper than home depot and i had it shipped to my door in 5 days. Overall its good and i have no major complaints,. I have other GE products and all work just as good.

Works well. I like that the display lights turn off after a brief period. (I can't sleep with lights.) My only suggestions would be a backlit remote. It's difficult to see the display on the front of the unit when trying to make adjustments during the night. The front display does light up, but other than the temperature, I can't see the settings. Kudos for adding braille to the remote. I believe there is an app available for controls, but I have not tried it.

I bought this for the first floor of my house, knowing that it was a bit too small, but wanting something more lightweight than my old one. That being said, it does a great job. It just keeps chugging along and pouring out cold air even in the extreme heat/humidity we've had. It makes an average amount of noise - less than my old one. I'd recommend it. I didn't give it 5 stars because the louvers don't really work. The air blows all over no matter how you adjust them, but, hey, nothing's perfect.

Bought this online and wasn’t sure about set up and features...never fear it was great! Be aware...while on - it’s loud and when econo feature is on all digital lights turn off and you’ll think the unit is totally off but nope - it’ll turn itself back on when set temp is reached.

This is the perfect Air Conditioner for my room. My old one lasted well over 20+ years. I certainly hope I can get at least half that out of this one. It appears to be very well made and is doing a great job of keeping my room cool during this 90 degree days. Thank you GE for making such a great product! I also love the WiFi and the remote is so easy to use.

We added on to our house 42 years ago and in the bedroom we put a hole in the wall so we could an AC in it. this is the third AC we have bought. It was pretty easy to set in the hole and looks really nice there. We had it running for a few minutes after installing it and cool down right away, we will be using it tonight. I have not set the wi-fi yet that will be next week.

Had now for about a month, works well, has 3 fan speeds. High fan setting is a bit noisy, but if you manually turn on low fan, it’s fine to sleep next to. It is kind of annoying every time you start it, it defaults to auto fan and eco cold... eco constantly turn on and off when near temperature. Really annoying when your trying to sleep next to it. I want it either on or off. If you manually set it to low fan and cool not ecocool it works great. Just a few more buttons to tap every time you turn on. It has a remote but really circa 1980’s style... not very useful

Very convenient to use with WiFi. But for cooling I can’t figure it out. The only way I get it to cool a bedroom is to set the thermostat to like 64 degrees. Then it don’t automatically come on at night when set to auto and eco. Hard to figure out how to get this thing to come on without constantly lowering the temperature. I’m going to call the manufacturer today for answers and hope I talk to someone knowledgeable.

I installed this in the bedroom a month ago. It cools the room in an hour or so. Love that the lights the display go out after a few minutes so there is no light from the air conditioner display when we are sleeping. If the temperature or fan speed is adjusted the display lights up again but only for a few minutes. This makes sleeping much easier without the led lights shining. The thermostat seems to run warm, but we've learned to just set the temperature low to cool the room. The unit does not retain settings. We have to reset it every evening which is frustrating. One of the reasons we chose this unit was because it was supposedly quiet. We have not noticed that, it's hard to hear anything outside the room when the unit is on. I would not say the unit is quiet.

First one box was sticky with something. Took the ac out and it made terrible noises as it tried to work. Returned it and second one arrived and box was kind of in rough shape ac was bent on side corner like it had been dropped. Good news is it did work. I’m not sure I would order another.
