Great AC , I loved everything .All the parts to install it were so useful, I used all of them.The AC cools my 16 x 15 living room in 10 minutes , and the smart features are so nice and easy to use.I turn the AC when I am 10 minutes away from home and when I get home the living room is so cold.Thank you GE for making my life easier.The bad part is the app , it took me more than 10 tries to connect it and make it work.That the only reason I am rating it 4 stars, because of the time I waste to make the app work.Anyway I will recommend it to anyone.

So far the few times I’ve used it’s been fine, the blower noise is noticeably less bothersome than what this replaces. The print on the side is really small I can’t make out the WiFi password. I usually don’t write reviews this early and we’ll see how this does when Alabama summer is in full swing! I suspect it’ll do well down here in the basement.

The Wi-Fi is very useful and I use it daily when its on. The "Auto" feature for the fan is kind of "strange" for how it cycles to different fan settings when cooling. Otherwise it cools quite quickly and moves a lot of air on different settings compared to other window a/c units I have.

I’ve owned it for less than 3 years. It was only used for 6 months, intermittently between seasons. Then it couldn’t operate properly. I discovered on my own that it’s likely a faulty motherboard due to a power surge, which I find hard to believe considering I’ve NOT had a power surge damage any product I’ve owned in 20 years. Regardless, General Electric will offer you a few dollars on a rebate form/card that they mail to you in about two months. The credit I received is 20% of the price I paid for it. Oh and you can only use the credit for another General Electric product. So goodbye $250. Don’t buy. I regret it.

I got this after my old AC broke down and I never realized how cold my room could get! And quick too! I got it a few weeks before the heat wave here in Cali and the WiFi feature helped soooo much! I would turn it on when I would be on my way home from work and by the time I got home my room was nice and chill! It also has a cool feature where you can see how much energy you're using. My only gripe with it is it's pretty loud when you first turn it on and has to kick in the cold, I got used to it but it was pretty alarming at first

Ac is a solid, small machine. Word of advice- write down the Mac ID info BEFORE installing so the app can be used easily. I really like the feature where you can adjust the temp from a cell phone. I also like how small and simple it is. I do wish it removed more humidity, but I should have paid more attention to features. I have had for about a month and is working great.

I like that I can change the settings while I’m out so that the house is cool when I get back. It helps the power bill to not have to leave it running all day while I’m out. Auto mode is not reliable as the unit doesn’t keep and accurate record of the temperature in the home.

When picking an ac unit, make sure you size it correctly for the size of the room you want to cool. Overall, its a nice little unit, not too loud, at least compared to other units I've owned over the years. I love how there is a drain plug you can remove to let the water drain out. I hate the pinging of water inside the unit hitting the fan blades ... I do like a constant fan when sleeping, so the pinging sounds of water keeps me up. While they say removing the plug the unit is not as efficient, getting a good night sleep is more important at least to me it is. so I don't use energy saver mode at night, so the fan stays on all the time. The airflow fins are way too small to even be remotely effective, you can tilt the air up and down, a few degrees of movement, but left to right, forget about it, the fins that control left/right air flow are the size of a postage stamp and are spaced several inches apart from each other. Poor design, save the money and don't even put the left/right fins if they don't do a darn thing. However, on a positive note, I love the ability to control the unit remotely, so I can turn it on as I'm leaving work, so by the time I get home, I walk into a nice cool room. Since I leave work at a different time every day, using the timer feature is not useful to me as my schedule changes daily. The app tells you how much electric used so can have an idea what it costs you to run it, which is kinda cool... no pun intended. My only complaint is the display goes off after a few seconds ... when in energy saver mode, the fans are off, no lights, I can't tell if the unit is off or on?. I left for work, saw no lights were on so I assumed it was off. When I went to turn it on after I left work, the app showed it was still on. I wish there was a way to set if you wanted the display to turn off or stay on in settings in the app. A solution is to not use energy saver mode, so you can hear the fan going and know its on. The app was difficult to setup based on the information provided in the box, however, I went to a popular video website GE has a video on how to setup the app. It said the same thing, but seeing it done, made it easier to understand.

This ac gives makes my room cold pretty quick. The cool thing about this ac is WiFi turn on and off. I live almost 10 miles from my mother house. Whenever I’m at mom’s house I turn on my room ac from my phone at mothers house. By the time I get there my room is pretty cold. And I could relax right away. It’s amazing features. I like these product and would recommend to anyone. The price was pretty good with these product. Thanks!

I needed to upgrade my A/C unit. The one I had just wasn't keeping up. The features on this unit caught my eye so I gave it a try. I couldn't be happier with my decision!! Love the wi-fi connectivity, love the ap, and it keeps up with size of the room and keeps us cool!! I highly recommend this product!!
