This unit is wonderful and just what we needed for our apartment bedroom. The unit is pretty quiet as far as air conditioners go, and works great. WIFI access remotely is great. You can turn the unit on and off, adjust temps, check electricity usage and more. This was very easy to install and secure. Couldn’t be happier with the unit and it’s functions.

This is in my insulated workshop. It does a good job and it's quieter than other models. Remote control is nice. Phone app is nice also, when it works. It lags, and I've had to load it twice because it was giving me error messages. I had to call GE for assistance, and they gave great customer service. I've already recommended this product to others, and now a relative has one in his shop also.

Bought this unit and worked great for 1 month and then one morning I turned it on and it ran 5 seconds and quit. It was beeping continuously, lights flashing and "88" showed where the temperature setting should be. It would not stay running. Took it back for refund and did not get a replacement. This has happened to other people as well.

It's really not stout enough to stand up to the brutal Florida heat in the summer. It never gets the room cooler than 68 degrees at night. Usually runs about 72 degrees during the day even though it is set to 64. A different brand A/C unit that I used to have in the same location (same btu rating) used to run much cooler. The smartphone app doesn't always work either. The app works about 50% of the time.

This is a great unit for the money!!! It’s quite enough, I like the white noise at night, I don’t hear the rest of the house.... keeps the room nice n chilly when needed!!! The app control is amazing!!! Can turn on the unit no matter where I am or set a schedule!!!!

I got this after my old AC broke down and I never realized how cold my room could get! And quick too! I got it a few weeks before the heat wave here in Cali and the WiFi feature helped soooo much! I would turn it on when I would be on my way home from work and by the time I got home my room was nice and chill! It also has a cool feature where you can see how much energy you're using. My only gripe with it is it's pretty loud when you first turn it on and has to kick in the cold, I got used to it but it was pretty alarming at first

Living in Hawaii, it gets very hot and humid. Our home does not have central air conditioning. We have tried numerous air conditioners for our bedroom and the other brands would not cool our room well, not because of lack of BTU, but the design of their product did not do the job. Compared to the others, GE Appliances is AMAZING!

Unit cools a large living room, but... The air control vanes are too small to do much of anything and they do not tilt up/down so anyone near the unit gets blasted with cold air. I constructed a louver out of 1/4" paper/foam picture frame backing and placed it just under the air exit and tilted it up maybe 45 degrees to shoot the air up towards the ceiling. Also - the Eco fan setting is useless; it's the compressor that uses up most of the electricity and not running the fan constantly means the room air doesn't mix well nor get dehumidified when the compressor is off (but the coils are still cold). It also is annoying to have the fan start and stop.

This AC has been working really good since the first day i started using it. It leaves my room nice and cold. Plus i like how it works when i put it on ECO. Theres been nothing wrong with this AC. And what i also like is that it has wifi to connect it to my phone and its a more better way with my phone for me. So i will defenitely recommend this AC to anyone because it works really good and because theres been no problems with it.

We do have central air, however; the back of the house stays warmer than the rest. We installed it in our laundry room window and the air conditioner even cools the kitchen area that it blows into as well. Not sure of the footage but these two rooms on the west side of the house, unshaded and lower pitched roofing on the laundry room-they have become the coolest rooms in the house instead of the warmest.
