Goes out after turning on

Had for about 1 summer , when turning on ac the Wi-Fi light flashes and the whole ac turns off after 3 seconds of turning on . Reset and rest buttons work fine but ac doesn’t operate any more . Warranty’s out of the question .. any tips, advice , or trouble shoot videos ? Please and thank u

Works great!

It cools our room down to a very comfortable temperature just being on 68 on a very hot day. I keep it on 69 at night on the auto fan setting in energy saver mode and it keeps me comfortable enough to sleep all night. I am 5 months pregnant, so comfort is a huge deal to me. I love that it connects to wifi and I can control it with my phone. If I happen to get too hot or too cold, I can easily adjust it using my phone without even getting out of bed. GE is a brand I know and trust and this was a very wise investment! I highly recommend this unit.

A lot of AC for the money.

We purchased this AC from SAMs and got a great deal on it. It is everything it is advertised to be. The noise level is a little more than I would like it to be but still quite acceptable and the entire unit shuts down when it reaches the selected comfort level. This unit was easy to install has adequately taken the place of a larger 10,000 BTU AC. I couldn't ask for more for a home office application.

Easy to install, but gave me a scare.

This product was super easy to install and the instructions were perfect. The app is easy to use and you can easily control it from you phone. The only initial scare I had was that during the first five minutes after the completed installation, it was only blowing hot, room temperature air. However after around five to ten minutes of this, it started to cool down, and eventually, now, is blowing cold air. I would definitely recommend this product, as of right now (as I’ve only owned it for a few hours), to everyone. It was quick and easy to install and is doing the job it is supposed to do for a very fair price.

Nope, not happy...

This thing isn't the greatest in the world.... I've had several window units before because I have 3 computers in one room and they need to be kept cool... it does cool very well, HOWEVER... if it's on auto and it cuts off because it has "reached the temp" it's set to, a lot of times it will get very hot and it will not come back on... for instance, what made me write this review was that it says its "66" in the room, and it's not, and if I cut it off and wait like 3 seconds and cut it back on, it comes on and the temp will start running up, sometimes all the way to 80, then it will cut back on and cool the room to the 73 I have it set at... but then once it cuts off, it likely wont come back on because it thinks it "too cool to be needed..." and it's definitely not... and honestly, since installing this unit my electric bill has gone up... this is the only thing i have replaced and I've always had a window unit in this room, I just don't think it's as energy efficient as it claims to be.

Best AirCon ever!

This AirCon is amazing! It is extremely powerful, maybe a little too strong haha. I love the multiple settings and how you can schedule times for temperatures through the app. I would only suggest updating the app so its more user friendly. I believe this will last for years!

High end features at a low and cost!

I've been running this window unit for almost 2 months now for my studio that I share with my 80 pound German Shepard/Husky pup; she doesn't do well in any kind of warm environment so this unit is almost always running. With the built-in Eco mode, I'm still able to curtail energy costs. Despite my relatively heavy usage, I've run into zero problems with this unit so far! Aside from doing it's intended job well, this unit comes with Wi-Fi features that allow you to control with via the GE Appliances app from your mobile device after a one time pairing to your network. Another awesome add-on is the included remote control (which I probably use more than my phone) which has a magnetic backing, something I personally found extremely convenient. Installation is extremely easy. I was able to install this completely by myself within an hour! If you have any prior experience, I doubt it would take much longer than 30 minutes, but this was my first unit I've ever installed and it was still very simple. For all these features, I'd expect this to be almost double the cost I paid, so that's definitely a huge plus there! One little thing that I should note is at first, this unit runs VERY quiet at first. After about a month it gets a little louder until the filter and outside are cleaned. All said and done, this unit runs much more quiet relative to other units I've used in the past!

I love the use of the Bluetooth on my phone

I love the use of the Bluetooth on my phone I can turn it on when my dog is home and it gets super hot and I don’t have to get up from doing work at my desk to turn it off when I’m at home, the schedule doesn’t always work, it does take a while to get to the proper temperature for those reasons it’s getting a 4/5 after the first two months of use.

Perfect wifi

This air conditioner is WONDERFUL. I researched before I purchased it and it was always in the top 5. It cools our entire 1 bedroom apartment with ease and with energy saving and the remote sensor, it stops and restarts itself. It even tells you when to clean the filter. The wifi feature is amazing I forgot to turn it off while I was in Bahamas and turned it off right with my phone. 5 stars

Repair Parts Unavailable

This unit was installed in a pre-school classroom which was inactive over the summer. When they attempted to start, it this fall it would go through a Power-on Clear cycle continuously. I have been unable to find a service manual or parts list for the unit and, when I contacted the GE Parts group, they stated that replacement parts were unavailable for this unit. The fan and compressor appear to still work as it will run for a few seconds before the POC cycle restarts. The unit was manufactured in 2021 so it appears to be out of warranty.
