I've used Kingsford charcoal off and on thru the years sometimes substituting some other brand, usually the store brand. Since smoking turkeys and hams at Thanksgiving and Christmas and seeing the difference in how fast the Kingsford starts and then holds the heat has made me sold on Kingsford. So now I spend a little more $$$ and get Kingsford. I've recently purchased a Kingsford grill and the two go good togetherl.

In my family, I am considered "Queen of Barbeque" because I love to grill and I will grill in the rain, snow, doesn't matter. However, not only you're giving us less charcoal in you "big" bags, the quality has changed as well. I've seen time the fire last so long, that I'm pulling food out the freezer just so it can get that charred taste. Your charcoal burn less, which mean I have to start a new fire, and to add insult to injury, finish baking in the oven to make sure it's done. I've NEVER had to do this in the past. I stop buying store brand 30 years ago, because of not having to cook all day (and evening). Whatever was new & improved, NOT! You've taken the enjoyment out of grilling...

this product deserves no stars. as a kid, i learned to use the grill at age 8 because my stepfather was southern and he loved bbq. i havent grilled myself because i didnt have a grill at my apartment. now that i have a house, i couldnt wait to buy a grill and get kingsford "blue bag" charcoal. i must say, i am very disappointed. the coals burned to quickly and they went out immediately. we had to keep adding coals and relighting. i did this twice to cook a medium well steak. very disappointed. this is a product i grew up on and it let me down. i want to give no stars but it will not let me. so know that even though i give 1 star, i really mean -1.

I have been using Kingsford charcoal for almost 30 years. It is the best charcoal I have found. I tried a grocery store brand a few times but always went back to Kingsford. The store brand did not come close to the Kingsford. It was more difficult to start and didn't burn near as hot. I am going to stick with Kingsford charcoal now! It is definitely the best available!

I watched a "Mystery at the Museum." They were telling the story of Henry Ford being eco friendly by taking scrap wood and creating Charcoal briskets. My mind put them together with the oldest and best charcoal. And my hunch was correct. Thanks for being the best and the oldest Charcoal.

I purchased a simple charcoal bbq about 8 years ago to replace my beat up propane unit. I’ve tried every brand of charcoal, but always return to Kingsford. It is clearly outperforms anything on the market! Worth every penny! Lights quick and easy, coals ash over fast, and the burn time is second to none. My dad used Kingsford, and my kids will too. Keep up the great quality. You have a customer for life! By the way, I will never go back to propane either. Living in Canada where the winter temps drop to -40, Kingsford still performs!

In our area there are only the original briquets available. I would like to see more of the variety of your brand in our area. Particularly the Mesquite and Hickory. If I wanted to learn how to prepare for competition I would need the Competition Briquets available as well. Pleases help us enjoy great BBQ this summer in the Dayton,Ohio area with these products being made available to us.

I use charcoal for all my grilling and smoking. I've got something cooking outdoors at least four nights a week. This stuff is easy to use. Lights quick, burns hot. One drawback is the amount of ash it leaves, but I figure that's due to the clay filler. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever. As a tip, throw a handful of well soaked hardwood chips in the charcoal before cooking your foods. Apple, Pecan and Hickory make a fantastic blend and enhance just about any meat you might be cooking up.

Great charcoal, easy to use, leaves great taste !! Use a chimney starter ! I used to use charcoal lighter/starter fluid, bought a charcoal chimney, lit the briquettes, and in 15 minutes they're glowing ! The food tastes better, it just simply does !! I use Kingford !!!
