Father knows best.

Our family has been using Kinsford products my whole life. When i was young my Dad told me Kingsford was the best, its all he would use so naturely its all I use today. I love the smell and the taste of anything cooked over the Kingsford coals. Keep grilling!!

Kingsford saved our Memorial Day!

We had a bag of no-name coals, almost no lighter fluid, and our lighters died on us on Memorial Day of all days. Our burgers, brats and skewers were ready to go on, but there was not even a spark. We opened a bag of Kingsford and put some on top of this pathetic heap and threw matches at it with little hope since it was a windy day on top of everything else. We walked away and basically gave up and started to try to come up with a back-up plan. Half an hour later, we went outside and found the grill ready to go. No lie! Kingsford is KING! You saved our bbq today.

only coals I use !!

Kingsford Original are the only coals I use in my grills. They burn good and last long after I've finished cooking. I just wished the amount in the bags would increase to what they used to be the double pack 20 lbs are great when I can catch them on sale. I've tried other brand coals in a pinch but they just don't compare to Kingsford.

Love to grill

I have been grilling for 30 years with Kingsford. I have used other brands and their temps are not as consistent as Kingsford and the flavor isn't as good. However I do have to say that the quality has gone down. Smaller briquets that burn down quicker. I love to grill and being outside cooking it's really relaxing to me. I love the taste of a real good BBQ.

Original is still the best!!

We have been loyal to Kingsford brand for a long time, and have tried other brands but nothing stands up to Kingsford. They burn cleaner, faster and more efficient! The quality can't be beat by ANY other brands, and we'll always go out of our way to get Kingsford. It's hard to find this time of year in our area but there are a few stores that carry it. We grill year round!

the best there is

When it comes to bbq Im as hardcore as anyone . I bbq in every season no matter how hot or cold it may be. Kingsford original is the only charcoal i trust to get the job done every time I fire up my grill or smoker. In the grill, it aids in producing excellent flavor and provides the perfect temperature for any job. In the smoker, it's the only charcoal I have found to burn long enough during a long smoke to eliminate the need to constantly add charcoal in order to maintain temperature. It also burns hot enough to ignite even the greenest hickory so that in itself is an added advantage.

quality of coals

I've used this product for years but recently, they've decided to be like the rest of great companies that went to the wayside and it now sucks...... i bought a bag of coals and had to use almost twice as much as they burned out very quickly. i was cooking chicken and had to add coals too many times, not like before. i want my money back.

Hello, Chuck. We’re sorry to hear that your Kingsford Original Charcoal burned too fast. Be sure to take note that Kingsford with Sure Fire Grooves is ready to cook on in about 15 minutes. This is significantly less time than it takes all other charcoal available today to get ready to cook on. As a result, you will need to put the food on the grill earlier to take advantage of the extended cooking time that Kingsford charcoal with Sure Fire Grooves provides. We’d be happy to further assist you. Please give us a call at 800-232-4745 and use reference number: 170828-000239 for quick service. We look forward to chatting with you.

only use kingsford

my fiance and i only use kingsford charcoal because he won't touch a gas grill. it is easy to light and we don't have to use very much charcoal. it makes the food taste way better than a gas grill hands down!! we don't use anything else but KINGSFORD!!!

not my beloved blue bag

Been defending Kingsford as the preferred BBQ fuel over Wood Pellets and Wood for years, but my recent purchases do not reflect the product I grew to love. It's taking longer to start, isn't burning as hot and generates a lot of ash. It's fine for typical backyard cookouts, but if you are more adventuresome (ribs, steaks, slow cooking) the current product is not what I remember. Where in the past I used to be able to get Blue Bag close to 600 degrees to sear meat, it's now closer to 450. The ash generated is enough to choke out other coals. I'm using Blue Bag in both the traditional Weber Kettle and a championship grade smoker. I haven't measured the time to start, but it sure seems like it's taking a lot longer to get the red coals needed to really do the job right. I've refused to go the wood route, but it's something I'm going to need to ponder. It's not worth having a championship smoker if the fuel doesn't get the job done.

Disappointed

We recently held a chicken bbq for our volunteer fire department. We purchased one pallet of this product (which normally lasts both bbqs) we were very disappointed when we had to use 8 extra bags just to get the pit started. This does not include all the extra bags used to keep it going. This pallet seemed to burn alot faster then previous years we hold two bbqs a year and we depend on the bags to last so we can make money to keep the station going sad to say this bbq our hopes kinda went up in smoke
