Helps the Busy People

Perfect for Busy People! I hated seeing the dust bunnies collect and knowing that it was just something else I had to clean. This product has alleviated a lot of cleaning stress. I does its best to clean and I appreciate every nook it tries to get into. Love!

This is awesome!

I got my first one for Christmas, and have actually purchased two more since then. I have two for my home and one for my office. I have it running throughout my house and office every night. I love that I can direct it to go to a specific room if I need it to, and that it can go from carpet to tile without any problems. The only drawback is that it is very loud when it empties out into the base, so don't leave the base anywhere close to your bedroom if you have it running at night.

Pet Owner

Works great! This is my second Roomba, and I love it. I program a time everyday for it to clean my house, and when I get home it is back on the charger and my house is clean. I have two dogs and hate the dog hair. This product so far cleans up all the mess they leave behind.

A little loud but works great!

Very handy! It is great that I can be completing other household chores while this is running and taking one thing off of my to-do list. Does a good job. The only negative thing I have to say about it, is it is noisier than expected. We run it on tile and hardwood floor. It might not be as loud on carpet. When it docks and empties into the base, it is EXTREMELY loud- so loud my cats freak out and I cover my ears.

Not ok

I have bought and have several iRobots including this one from a previous time. But not sure what happened this one did not work. It wouldn’t find its base it would get stuck a lot and through out so many error codes. I sent back and got a replacement. The new one is still not the greatest but it does a semi decent job now

Worth it!

We named our roomba Sonya. Sonya has been great! We have our dog-neohew come over on the weekends and it's extremely helpful to tap on my phone and watch Sonya do all the work. I do suggest you "map" your home before you let her loose so she can navigate exactly where shes supposed to go intead of finding her bumping into things. The self-cleaning feature is so convenient but please be responsible enough to read the entire guide so that you can make sure to keep your help maintained. Otherwise, it would be just a waste of money. I gave Sonya a 5 star rating because so far, she's a hard worker and efficient.

Daily tidy up dog hair

It occasionally gets stuck under certain chairs or seems lost under a table with a few chairs along one side. It does pick up some of the hair our dog shed as a measure to tidy up. Still have to use the vacuum cleaner. Rarely gets stuck on the transition from hardwood floors and area rugs.

Getting better

I haven’t Purchased a new room but in quite a number of years, so I’m still trying to figure this one out. The cleaning ability is really good, but it’s taking a really long time to mount the house and she keeps falling off a little ledge….She’s supposed to be able to get back up when she falls off the ledge but she hasn’t learned that obviously

Need an interactive map

It does a good job cleaning. The patterned coverage is great. The soft rollers do a good job of not eating cords or other objects. In the event it sucks up a large piece of paper or odd other no no the rollers and bin are very easy to clear. The serious deficit of the I3 is the mapping function. There is no way to limit coverage to a room or area so it vacuums the entire house every time out. The inability of mapping a more limited job/area means the robot runs a long time every day when say only the fireplace area might be dirty and need a scrub. The noise level of the vacuum is acceptable especially compared to the Bob Sweep we had before. Bin evacuation at the charging station is disturbingly loud it’s like a jet engine taking off. Overall we like many of the features but to get interactive mapping we are upgrading to the I7.

Should have bought one years ago!

We have 8 cats, a dog, 2 chinchillas and a family of 6. The hardwood floors always have dust, dirt, hay, and pet fur on them as we don't have time to vacuum every day. We tried a cheaper robotic vacuum a couple years ago. It wasn't perfect, but it helped enough that we decided to upgrade to the more expensive Roomba. Boy are we glad we did! It's so much quieter than the other brand that we don't stop the cleaning cycle when we have guests over, need to use the phone, or are watching TV. It's shorter so it can fit under our Chinchilla cage and wooden kitchen chairs. The navigation is amazing too! The old robot would get stuck under a rocking chair. This Roomba not only gets in and out from under the chair, but also found it could navigate behind the could to clear that 18" wide, 5' long strip. Old vacuumed cleaned for about 45 minutes before returning to charge/end the cycle, and needed to be manually emptied. The roomba empties on it's own and will stop to recharge before resuming to cover an office, living room, dining room/kitchen, pantry/hallway, and a second hallway to a bedroom. Unlike the other vacuum we haven't had to go "rescue" it when it couldn't find the base or got stuck somewhere other than a couple times it got tangled up with a cord. We're continually amazed at the difference between the two, and how much better the Roomba is.
