Love the docking system. Does a good job with sweeping and pet hair though our wool rug does give it fits sometimes--the fibers and pet hair ball up but dont go in. That said, that is a tough rug for the reg vaccium. Sometimes it runs out of battery before making it to dock. That said, it performs well enough I would buy again.

I love this Roomba! It picks up well and self empties afterward. It is some what noisy as it empties I believe because the base has such great power to really empty the robot. You can program the robot to come out at certain times and can even have it spot clean an area as desired.

Works well, has good suction. I have an Australian Shepherd that is constantly shedding. This machine helps keep the floors dog hair free and well as picking any crumbs that may have fallen. Of course, this is not a substitute for doing a deep clean every so often and mopping. Now, as a caviat to this review, I have hard tile floors only and cannot speak to how well it does on carpet.

I did not have good luck with my vacuum cleaner. It worked really well the first 2 times we used it. Following those 2 days, the vacuum would not go 6 feet and report an error in the dirt chamber and stop running. Thier was nothing in the dirt chamber. I will be returning it to Sams soon.

Does very well on carpet, not on hardfloor. It doesn't cover the whole floor either, it stays under the table and around chairs for ever, then when it gets out of that area it takes off to other areas, like the hall, without finishing the, kitchen. It doesnt do corners very well either. I can sweep the whole kitchen and leave the dirt next to the table so it can pick it up, but it goes over it and just spreads it, only picking up minimal dirt. I am going to return this product, it is totally not worth 500 dollars.

It picks up great. But its load and sounds like an airplane taking off ehen it emptys the dirt. Also takes forver to vacuum. My old one different brand took about an hour. This one takes around 3 hours but it has to charge 1 to 2 times before its finished cleaning.

I had two iRobot products and had no issues. I had this for a week and then returned it for a refund. For some reason it would not position itself correctly on the base and would then give me an error message, or it would report that the base was clogged when it wasn't. It never worked right from the start.

The machine itself is a huge step up from the first model. It’s much quieter and better cleaning pattern. The only thing I don’t like is the emptying process... it sounds like a plane about to take off. So, if you have kids at home don’t turn it on to early or too late. It can definitely give anyone a bit of a scare until you get used to it.

We named her Rosie. It's a nice little robot, and it's fun to watch her clean. She does a good job, but it's not perfect. I find that with a little bit of preparation, she does better, but she can get sort of lost in chairs underneath tables and frequently she'll come back several times as if she's confused. The same with rugs; if she struggles somewhat to get across a deep rug, I feel like her internal mapping kind of gets screwed up a bit. So here's what I do: Before she starts her cleaning on Tuesdays and Fridays, I fold up the rug in the living-room, put the chairs upside down on the table, pick up items and generally make it easy for her. If I do that, she'll run through the program without difficulty. It is a bit loud; loud enough to where you probably want to have her do it while people are out of the house, but not quite as loud as a regular vacuum. I leave her downstairs to clean while I work upstairs and that works fine. We have about 1300 sq.ft downstairs and she can't quite make it in one go; she has to go back and recharge to finish the job. So.it probably takes her about 2.5-3 hours all in all. When she empties the bin in the docking station, it is about as loud as a jet engine. Sensitive animals beware. But the docking station is a must. All in all, I'm very happy with her, even though I have to finish a few spots here and there, and vacuum the rug myself.

I’m disappointed at the ability for this Roomba I3+ to pick up dog hair. Read all the reviews and thought this was the one for me. Well, it collects it but doesn’t get it all up. It leaves stipe of dog hair every time it gets on and off of the carpet. I have a white dog and it leaves trails of dog hair everywhere. So I end up breaking out the vacuum cleaner and vacuuming over what the Roomba just did. So my work was not eliminated. Very disappointing.
