Cameras are good, but your Android app needs work, cannot view 1x7 mode and my app keeps timing out and I have to keep reconnecting about every 10 min. As well, there is no more windows support for viewing the live feed, bad move, this was a great way to view my cameras remotely for those of us that don't have a tablet. Also used to be able to save the playback videos directly on my PC, now I have to access the dvr directly, which is not so easy as it is in a locked cabinet in my basement.

Overall I love the Defender 4K and would recommend it to anyone. Only reason for the 4 star instead of a 5, is the cables on the cameras could make installations easier if the cable was 6-10 inches longer. Here in Florida you are almost always going through or over a cement block wall and it makes it difficult with the current length.

Pros: -solid products -good video capture -straight forward install of hardware Cons: -confusing nomenclature in DVR system setup. it could be easier. -App has two locations to enable/disable push notifications, should be just one. -camera has up/down tilt but not side too side.

Owning a 1080 - 8 camera system, I wanted to buy the 4K - 16 camera system, and reuse 8 of the 1080 cameras along with 8 - 4K cameras. The help desk was absolutely unable to figure out how to do that, so I drew up a schematic diagram for them to have their engineering section look at; which they eventually approved. BTW, it works very well. I used the 1080 power supplies with the built-in ferrite beads on the 1K cameras and the original cabling without ferrite beads for the 1K side.

I am writing this review without setting up the system yet. I purchase this to send to South America for our business. The price is excellent for this system compared to other systems out there. Shipping was speedy, received it within 2 business days. Will update the review depending on the performance of the system after it is installe.

So far we are very impressed with the 4K Ultra HD security system! We have only gotten around to installing one of the cameras since figuring out the wiring to and from the camera can be a bit of work. But 2 days after installing, we were able to capture a man breaking into one of our cars parked outside. We are extremely grateful that we had that camera running because its providing very useful evidence for the police. Make sure to avoid any obstructions in the path of the camera to maximize the night vision capabilities! We originally had a bit of roof line in the shot which caused a lot of glare. Once we tilted the camera down the quality improved A LOT! Day time quality is 10/10! It was also very helpful to watch the set up video on the Defender Youtube page! Also, Defender 24-7 app is working very well for us on our iPhones! No crashes or lag. The Motion Sensor alerts are very helpful as they record about 2minutes every time they are triggered which makes it very easy to save video/photos without having to playback and scroll through the footage.

Great product with awesome Monday through Friday support! The live chat has always solved any problem and questions about modifications to the system. I enjoy the push notifications for alerts as to something going on. Great system! Incredible price! Excellent customer service!

We were very surprised on how fast the shipping was. We are thrilled with our 4KUltra HD Wired 4 channel system. The videos are amazingly clear! The app is outstanding. First time set up takes some time - - but all the while worth it! Everyone is impressed with the quality of the system. Worth every penny! I am looking forward to purchasing an additional couple of wifi cameras in the near future.

I loved the Defender 4K system my wife gave me for Christmas so much in my home, I bought one for our business as well. I am looking at their security systems for our other locations around the US. The quality is amazing and it is controlled by me and not dependent on the cloud, which gives me peace of mind.

Excellent customer service. Received order within 48 hours of ordering. Great system, easy setup picture is fantastic, only viewing a 1080p monitor so missing out on detail. 3rd system from defender all wired started with the old 720 worked fine for 10 years then up grade to the 2k. New house new system. Never any issues with old systems and expect many years from this system Cameras are more compact with a more solid body than any of the older system owned. Would purchase again.
