Fantastic system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The defender security system is impressive. My husband had these installed( lines ran and 4 cameras) hooked up in 2 hours. Picture quality is phenomenal and the DVR system is a breeze to use! Living out in the rural country with closet neighbor 2.5 acres away, we feel installing these was a no brainer. I’m amazed at how great these little cameras work. The only thing we had an issue with was figuring out where to places cameras. We have a large house 88 ft long and the cables wouldn’t reach where we wanted them. Overall the system is fantastic, very user friendly!! I would recommend these to anyone looking for a quality product that your typical homeowners could use. I’ll include pictures shortly. For some reason my computer won’t upload them currently.

REVISED REVIEW - NOT Blind at night
I had installed, this my second defender product and had poor night vision - HOWEVER - I contacted the support and they resolved the issue very quickly by helping me see what I needed to do to get better night vision- the problem was the placement and angles of the cameras - not resolved - I'm back to loving my 8 camera system

Easy use and set up
This system was a very easy setup and was crystal clear and able to give us this vision that we were looking for. And also gave comfort to an area that was well needed to be monitored. Having this system place in foster home will be a great help to which child is doing what as well as protection by knowing if anyone is outside creeping around.

Feeling safer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally had a chance to get my Defender Security System set up over the weekend. Out of the box the cameras are pleasant enough to look at and blend in pretty well with the white trim on my house. But they are still visible enough to provide a deterrence to unwanted visitors. My husband set it up and it appeared to be fairly easy (since he did no complaining about it). Post set up, the picture quality is far better than I was expecting especially at night time. Downloaded the app to my phone so when we are away we can still check on the house. The Defender Security system has given me the gift of piece of mind because I know a look at my house is only a phone image away.

Fantastic system!
I absolutely love this system. 8 megapixel cameras do make a big difference and they definitely helped in the stores that we've installed them in being able to see things that we weren't able to see with blurred clarity before. We already foiled 1 criminal activity after the first week of being install. Highly recommended for everyone and it is a great bang for the buck.

Review after 3 months
I purchased these cameras due to the 4K I will say the wide angle is good the clarity of these cameras are much better plus when you have the cameras on the phone app you can view regular then goto HD which enhances the clarity plus you can zoom in on a spot which give better detail. I will say they quality is there. I personally don't like the red dot the camera has that you see at night. I prefer no sign that the camera is on. The mounting is very good with adjustments you can get these cameras under the soffit to keep them out of the sun which is my benefit so you can still have the camera level. I don't understand all the features which there are several that I don't use. I do enjoy the app on the phone. The set up isn't bad I had to call for support since I messed up the setup you need to follow each step exactly or they wont work. I like the playback feature you just need to watch the speed your play back you can miss some activity if your going too fast. overall the quality is great daily operation great value not bad for what you get

Excellent Price for a home system
This system replaces my 4 year old Defender system where the hard drive failed after 4 years. Defender gave me a 10% discount on a new system. Bought 2 systems one for at home and the other for my vacation property. Easy to set-up; where I had issues customer support was excellent. Disappointed that this system can't be viewed on a computer. I was told this might be developed in the future. Cell Phone APP is great! Also, it was difficult adjusting the cameras with the tiny Philips head screws. HD camera viewing is excellent!

great for price
great cameras. disappointed in the lack of technical knowledge on the system from Defender based on how new it is. They don't sell extension wires, nor can they even tell me the specs of the wires so that i could buy elsewhere. So if you need long runs, you may want to wait to buy until they have extensions.
Great cameras for the yard!

They were easy to install and I like having the multiple cameras around our property perimeter. This is my first time having outdoor security cameras and I am very happy with these.

Great picture quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this system after our neighbor had packages stole right at their front door!! The cameras picture is very high quality. The cameras by there self will scare most away but if not we will have plenty of awesome pics and video.
