Quality System
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed the Defender security system over the weekend. It was very easy to install with the manual and went onto the Defender website and found out how to install the app on our phones which was easy as well. The performance is great. with long range, with wide views and is motion detected. Our cat had been in may of the views that's for sure. Love the fact our home is protected and we can see whats going on while were not home. I highly recommend this system to anyone looking .

Nice System
I needed to update my security cameras from an old defender system. It was about 6 years old and still worked fine. I wanted better resolution. The picture on this system is excellent. Installation was easy. Software set up was not as simple as my old system but the app is good. Added my wife's phone and we are up and running. Night vision is great. Have had foxes and raccoons caught wandering through my yard. Neighbors had cars broken into and I was able to provide the police with stills and video of the person trying my car doors. Luckily we had ours locked.

You can’t hide in the dark
The 4k cameras are amazing at night or day. I can read the street sign at the end of my block, I can zoom in and see license plates numbers. I mounted a camera on my back wall on the 3rd floor of my house and I could clearly see the Picture of my son on my home screen Of my iPhone. Enough said

Met all expectations, very satisfied
System and cameras were very easy and intuitive to set up, mobile app pairing was a breeze. Would have liked to see a pan feature on the cameras and some more guidance around setting up the verification code. Advice on setting up the video recording would also help (which frame rate to choose, etc. and the implications of selecting one setting vs. another). Overall very happy!

Great Cameras
Just purchased this camera. Camera recorded two people removing items from my yard. Footage is so clear that I have been able with the help of facebook to identify suspects. Their tats, face, clothes, shoes - so clear was able to match with their facebook postings. Waiting on cops so the process can be started to charge them. I did not install myself but it did not take very long for cameras to be installed. I would purchase this system again.

Installing was pretty simple and straightforward - the cameras are lightweight & weather resistant. The resolution is AWESOME, very clear - not glitchy, the night feature is the BEST! These cameras can be hooked up to your phone via Defender's free app which provides added security when you are away from home.

Affordable Security
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the Defender - Defender 4K (8MP) Wired Security System for use at our local VFW’s clubhouse. There have been break-ins at other local establishments, and we wanted to add some security. This 8-camera system covers our entire building, including all points of entry and the doorway leading to our safe. Nice to be able to do this on our own with one investment rather than using a security company with monthly fees.

Amazing System - Great Value
Bought this May29 2020. The quality is great. The camera resolution is fantastic, day or night. The software is feature rich, has many options. The mobile app is what pushes this over the value limit, being able to monitor or playback remotely. I chose the hard wired system, because regardless of whether the internet is up or down, this unit is always recording. I recommend this to anyone looking for a security system.

Definite Step Up
The 4K system is obviously better than it's predecessor. I purchased the Defender HD approximately 2 years ago and there's is a discernible difference. The picture clarity on this system is markedly more clear at both short and long range. In addition, the extended memory is a very nice feature. If that wasn't enough the night vision is better. All in all, I don't think a person could go wrong buying this system it seems great.

clear picture
Defender family for many years. Picture qulity is great compare to older models i have had. Quick and eazy to setup if you can run wires. Couple of issues, one no remote to check dvr have to use a ladder when i want to check my dvr with the mouse that was provided but a very short cord. Also not all of my cameras stay color at night. If the cameras dont have a surface to reflect light off i noticed they go back to black and white.
