Two years ago, I purchased a security camera system from another manufacturer. It was cheaply made, very difficult to use, and barely made it past the warranty time frame before dying. Last week, I ordered this Defender Camera System. Delivery was prompt. Setup was a breeze. Quality is evident throughout, and the app is awesome! On-screen menus are well thought out, and very easy to navigate! Thank you Defender, for this great product!!

I purchased a First set of the 4 k cameras and DVR system a week ago, it arrived and I was so blown away by the cameras and all the features of DVR and the app, that I immediately ordered a second set , I also recommended to my neighbor 3 doors down and she ordered a set the same next day, I installed mine and hers today and all’s I can say is wow over and over , I couldn’t be more pleased with how hers and mine turned out , I love how ya can see all in the app, even thought it’s two separate dvrs, I have one set hooked up with the most important cams showing on a monitor and the second set just to view in the app, the notifications are the best feature of this system , although the entire system is incredible, as I’ve said in my first review the cameras picture quality is awesome, and the field of view is way wider that my previous cameras, along with the dvr options and the apps options you can’t go wrong with DEFENDER SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEMS, they have always stood behind there products with me, that’s all I got to say in my honest strait forward review about my recent purchase ...

This product is simple to get set-up and program and easy to use. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone looking for a little extra security. The best feature is the local DVR, no extra fees to access the cloud, and it can be programmed for remote viewing. Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a lot of activity in my neighborhood and I wanted to be able to see what is happening in and around my home. We installed the Defender 4K. Installation was made more difficult because I needed to connect it to my router, but it was because my router is on a shelf 10 feet off the floor. The cameras provide a sharp picture, and the DVR has terrific memory. The product is well worth the money in peace of mind.

This is the second system i've purchased and I really like the quality and ease of use. I bought one for my home and my parents home as well and i can monitor both systems from my cell phone. The setup is a little daunting if you're not familiar with everything but the online or phone support is very good. I usually get a chat response within a minute of request and the people on the other end are very helpful and patient.

I had installed, this my second defender product and had poor night vision - HOWEVER - I contacted the support and they resolved the issue very quickly by helping me see what I needed to do to get better night vision- the problem was the placement and angles of the cameras - not resolved - I'm back to loving my 8 camera system

Defender 4K (wired) was easy to install, had a little trouble with email notifications. Contacted online support Yvonne M was a great help had me fixed in a few minutes, was a setting in google blocking it. Picture quality is great and customer support is awesome.

Cameras were very easy to install and the DVR was easy to setup. The cameras have good picture and it's nice that you are able to zoom in a little ways. However, the cameras have a much narrower view than I would like or would have expected from security cameras. The DVR does not have wifi so have to setup with an ethernet cable (which I went around with an ethernet powerline adapter, look it up if you don't have an ethernet jack in every room, works great) if you want to view on the app. Also the DVR box is quite noisy since it is not a SSD. So be cognizant with where you put the DVR box. My only real suggestion would be that when playing back video on the app that you are able to fast forward the playback at 4x speed. Watching playback second by second is brutal. But overall, if you're looking for a cost effective home security system this one really isn't bad and gets the job done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The defender security system is impressive. My husband had these installed( lines ran and 4 cameras) hooked up in 2 hours. Picture quality is phenomenal and the DVR system is a breeze to use! Living out in the rural country with closet neighbor 2.5 acres away, we feel installing these was a no brainer. I’m amazed at how great these little cameras work. The only thing we had an issue with was figuring out where to places cameras. We have a large house 88 ft long and the cables wouldn’t reach where we wanted them. Overall the system is fantastic, very user friendly!! I would recommend these to anyone looking for a quality product that your typical homeowners could use. I’ll include pictures shortly. For some reason my computer won’t upload them currently.
