[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Defender 4k four camera security system neatly packaged in a convenient sized box. I was super excited to use this security system in our three story home as you can never be safe enough. To my very pleasant surprise, the system arrived with all the items needed including the DVR, analog cameras, HDMI cable, USB mouse and quick start guide. I was very impressed that there was nothing else needed to purchase at all for installation. I was very pleased with the slim DVR that takes up not much room at all. A window decal was also included for a warning sticker. This is a great and complete system! There is no fee for monitoring as you can do it from the convenience of your phone via the free app. The cameras are very light and adjust so you can place them strategically for the best view possible and I plan to purchase more cameras as our home has a large backyard that is wooded. The cameras provide 4k resolution and 8MP for recording speed. There is also infrared LED for night vision. The Defender 4K security system will provide me and my family many safe years for which I am grateful. For me, installation proves to be a bit more complicated and I will have it properly installed.

I bought this system a month ago and install was fast and easy. I am impressed with the quality of the system for the price. The only thing I'm not happy with is the warranty fine print that states return shipping is the customer's responsibility even when the product is under warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband immediately unpacked the Defender 4K (8MP) Wired Security System With 8 Cameras as soon as it arrived. He said it was easy to setup and showed me how well it worked as soon as he was finished. We were both impressed by the quality of the video which can be viewed on a television or with the app on our cell phones. Unfortunately, these cameras all have to be mounted in place and wired directly to the DVR, but the system includes everything you need in order to do so. I believe this brand offers a wireless version as well, but I am unable to give an opinion on that. Overall, this is a high quality product to help monitor your home (or business). We are now able to check on our dogs while we’re away and feel confident that our house is protected.

I did a lot of research on what camera system to purchase. Saw this had wonderful reviews and after buying it I can see why. The price can not be beat for what you get. Picture is crystal clear day or night. It was so easy to install and the system setup is really easy if you follow the guide. Would buy from defender again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't permanently installed the system yet, but did a little bench testing of it. Great picture quality in 4k resolution. Cameras are small and discrete. Mounting appears to be pretty straight forward with all the hardware included. Curios to see how long 2 TB takes to fill before it starts recording over itself. Like I said, just did a little bench testing, so I haven't tried the remote app either. They include a HDMI cable, ethernet cable and mouse which is also nice. Didn't try the camera is the dark, so I'm not sure yet how they perform in the dark yet. The only 2 things I would like to see is the ability to rack mount the DVR and I also think that the 60 foot cables may be a little short depending on where the DVR is installed. Especially if you have a larger house or multistory home. I will add to this review once the system is permanently installed.

I bought this just over a month ago and love it. We've had a few burglaries in our neighborhood and wanted cameras to cover our house and 2 acre yard. The setup was so easy and the range is excellent. The 4k quality surpasses anything my neighbors have. We have a crystal clear view of our property. This is our first system and, so far, we are very pleased with the Defender 4K.

I bought this system because of the 4K and good reviews I leave on a dead end road and my wife needed some peace of mind knowing she could look outside without opening the door. The cameras have good quality and the distance is great even at night.I like the easy setup and installation it was simple. Only thing it only turns up or down and I need it to turn right on two cameras to get a better view and if it did it would be a five star I recommend this system very highly. 100% better than a Sony system my neighbor has.

Since I had previously bought a 4 camera wireless system for myself about 2 years a go, I recommended this system for our church. The 4K cameras have amazing resolution and already have captured some unwelcomed action in the church parking lot, including watching some wolves walk across in the middle of the night and identifying a delivery made when no one was present. Presently we only have 6 cameras installed and will get the other 2 installed later during warmer weather. We did have to purchase extensions wires for some of the cameras. My personal wireless system survived the cold for 2 winters (up to -30C) and are still working great. Looking forward to the security this system will provide our church.

I have been with defender for a long time now ( 5 years or so) and when lightning took out my DVR I did not hesitate to come back to Defender for a new system. As normal, they delivered my system very quickly. The packaging is very well done. Everything was in the box and so easy to set up. I didn't think it possible, but this new system outshines my last one. Being able to adjust setting for each camera is a plus i didn't expect. And the zoom maintains the same great quality, not losing any clarity. Overall, I am very pleased with my system and the customer service I have been getting to help me through this process of replacing my old system. Right from the start, they have been so helpful in diagnosing my old system, answering all my questions on what would be best for my situation. I would HIGHLY recommend Defender for all your security needs.
