great cameras. disappointed in the lack of technical knowledge on the system from Defender based on how new it is. They don't sell extension wires, nor can they even tell me the specs of the wires so that i could buy elsewhere. So if you need long runs, you may want to wait to buy until they have extensions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the camera system! My husband mounted them up but has them turned the wrong way so he will going back to fix those! The image quality is amazing. Even when you zoom in, it still looks good. We used a monitor to hook these up to. The setup was extremely easily. Everything is pretty self explanatory. We would definitely recommend this to anyone needing security cameras.

I purchased these cameras due to the 4K I will say the wide angle is good the clarity of these cameras are much better plus when you have the cameras on the phone app you can view regular then goto HD which enhances the clarity plus you can zoom in on a spot which give better detail. I will say they quality is there. I personally don't like the red dot the camera has that you see at night. I prefer no sign that the camera is on. The mounting is very good with adjustments you can get these cameras under the soffit to keep them out of the sun which is my benefit so you can still have the camera level. I don't understand all the features which there are several that I don't use. I do enjoy the app on the phone. The set up isn't bad I had to call for support since I messed up the setup you need to follow each step exactly or they wont work. I like the playback feature you just need to watch the speed your play back you can miss some activity if your going too fast. overall the quality is great daily operation great value not bad for what you get

The video is excellent , the app is free, the set up was a breeze. Now I could ramble on but I'll get to the point , I am older and the menu took a while for me to figure out but I am learning it and their are so many options to personalize the system to your liking ! The app is good and there are no fees. Really impressed by the night vision , it is much better than I thought it would be. I bought this wired sytem and because I had good access to my attic and eves, with a little planning it was easy to set up , your mileage may vary. recommend, heck yes !

This system was a very easy setup and was crystal clear and able to give us this vision that we were looking for. And also gave comfort to an area that was well needed to be monitored. Having this system place in foster home will be a great help to which child is doing what as well as protection by knowing if anyone is outside creeping around.

I bought this product a month ago, installation was effortless. Day time video is excellent night time is not comparable although it still does provide very good video. 3 of my cameras have a pink vertical line on the left side and will only show up on the day time. The app itself is user friendly but would crash when playing maximum allowed cameras back simultaneously. Overall, i am very satisfied with this unit if this issues would get fixed.

I purchased this unit about a month ago. We love it. It has a great picture and the set up was as easy as it could be. I would have given it 5 stars but I am having a slight problem with getting notifications. I have contacted customer support. Once this gets resolved it will be definitely a 5 star.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been contemplating installing a home security system for several months now, did extensive research and decided the Defender 4K (8MP) Wired Security System is the best system on the market for my needs. I mounted 4 cameras on the outside of my house and ran the cables under the vinyl siding and in through the attic. This process took all day but the cables are hidden and worth the effort. The manual is very clear and precise and the initial setup went smoothly. I'm exceptionally pleased with the high quality color pictures and the night vision feature. I also like the ability to check the house from my phone while I'm away. I definitely recommend the Defender 4K (8MP) Wired Security System!!

I installed my system about 3 weeks ago. The installation for the cameras and the DVR are easy; the hardest part is pulling your soffit and installing braces depending on how you are anchoring your cameras. Picture quality is great on the cameras and the app is awesome! When I'm out of town on travel, I can look up in real time what is going on at my house as well as use playback to look up motion events that occurred.

This one is so easy to install, instructions are easy to follow and I mean from the set up of the cameras to the app; and by the way I just love that I can leave the house and at the same time check on my house any time I want, that truly is peace of mind, and I can review any recordings at any time to the second.. that's wonderful! and the picture quality is so nice, naturally the day time is way better than night view but I'd say they are both clear enough and you can definitely recognize faces. I highly recommend! there is nothing like a sense of security not just for a part of the day but all day all the time.
