The mattress is medium, not too firm and not too soft. Bought for husband with neck and back problems.

This mattress is wonderful, it is like sleeping on a cloud. I would recommend this mattress to my friends and family.

1st time with a box mattress, did not know what to expect, 12" makes for a little taller bed. Had to get used to it. I think I like it.
