After the storm, when the sun came out- I went to sit outside and the chair was dry. The rain literally slipped right off. I also left the cushions out in the sun since I sprayed the cushions, and the sun didn’t damage the color at all. I will purchase this for my cushions for the future.

Water just beads up and runs off. They dried quickly after saturation. The product has a very strong chemical odor when you spray it on. That odor completely disappears when the item is dry.

I noticed that they were starting to get worn and faded from a few years in the sun. The Sunbrella product put them back in great condition. I’ve used it on my patio umbrella too to keep it water repellent when the sudden rain showers pop up. Effective and easy to use.

They literally were out in the elements all winter on my covered front porch. And they were due for some kind of refresh. Enter Restore Fabric Protector and Repellent from the makers of Sunbrella Products! Boy did these chairs need this product! I followed all instructions which told me to clean the fabric thoroughly and let dry. Then it was time to spray the on the protector and let it work it's magic. It took a few days to dry, but Wow! It was so worth it. This stuff repels water extremely well. So much so, that it beads on the surface! Pictures don't lie. I Love It! And will definitely be buying another bottle! However, the super strong chemical Oder makes me think that I wouldn’t use this product anyway. The spray bottle does make it easier for application. It’s hard to rate a product that I didn’t use.

It has a very strong scent similar to paint thinner. I recommend using it outdoors with good ventilation. It’s easy to apply, but test a small area first to make sure the fabric doesn’t bleed. I’m going to try this on some shoes as well.
