We have used it for outdoor movie nights as well as watching the super bowl, playing xbox games and projecting the computer/phone to the big screen. It has been a great family favorite. I bought this about a month ago and have enjoyed it a lot so far. It's portability and easy of use are great, but it's far from a perfect device. Don't be confused, it needs to be used in a dark(ened) room to have an acceptable picture!. The auto keystone is almost never perfect. It gets it close most of the times, but sometimes you'll have to wobble it a few times before it's ok. I find the home page cluttered and not customizable enough. And please, Samsung, please add a function to turn off/block projection and use it as a speaker only! It has good audio and I like to use it as a wifi speaker to play music but it makes no sense to have it project during such use and waste lamp lifetime. I'm a first time projector user and this is not a device for a permanent, fixed projector setup. Since I move it around the house a lot we just project on the walls and with the keystone correction there is always significant over splash, doesn't look great but you get used to it.

I’ve owned projectors in the past that didn’t measure up to the hype. However, I must say Samsung went above and beyond with all the bells and whistles on this model. I literally can take the projector anywhere in my home point it to a wall or ceiling and can watch anything my heart desires on this bad boy. I am thoroughly impressed by the picture quality, and even the sound this projector puts out. I would suggest connecting to a sound bar or speaker when in bigger spaces or with several people. I highly recommend purchasing Samsung The Freestyle with Gaming Hub projector you won’t be disappointed.

From the first use I was hooked and love this way of watching television. Currently, I have the projector set up in my bedroom. I love the fact that I can watch it on any wall or even the ceiling if I choose. I love that I can make it as small or large as I want. Another feature I love is that all I need is an internet connection to watch all my streaming services such as PRIME VIDEO, DISNEY+, PARAMOUNT+, and a wealth of free TV and I can also listen to my music all from one small device. Sound is good for something so small. On a smooth wall and dark room. I was able to get up to 150" screen and still looks great. Easy to get all the apps working from other Samsung TV. The Freestyle Gen has so many features built in to provide a good picture on whatever surface you use. From your wall to your desk, include the angle you project. It automatically makes the necessary adjustments within the built-in software. So, it is easy for a novice to use also. The sound of the Freestyle is fantastic for a small portable projector. You have the option to connect any Bluetooth speaker system, as an additional option. However, for a portable projector, I believe it delivers what it needs. The software, Samsung provides all the basic software you need to get started. Additionally, you can download all the various apps from their app store for your movies, sports, news, and other viewing pleasure. The Freestyle Gen 2 provides several different modes where you can hang it from a light fixture to project straight down or you can use it as an ambiance light source when entertaining guests. It is a very versatile little projector. The only room for improvement in my view is the Freestyle Gen 2 doesn’t do well in daylight conditions. With only a 230 ANSI Peak lumen, which is not that high, it suffers when used in outdoor environments with any amount of daylight. I attempted to view the Freestyle in the shade, it was a little better, but the picture looks all washed out. In conclusion, the portability, sound, picture, and small package make the Freestyle Gen 2 a great tech option for many people. If you can pick this up at the right price, it might be an excellent addition to your home or on to-go to entertain your family.

His was 65 inches and mine was the freestyle. Moving was a breeze for me while his broke. Can not tell you how much i love the space saved too. Its crisp bright and definitely gets bigger than what i would've been able to afford if i had gotten with a traditional tv. If you live in a small space get a freestyle. There is no better purchase.
