I've bought this projector mainly for my switch. It works great, good for gaming on it, good enought brightness in pitch black room (even at 100" in Mario Kart it was alot of fun and the image was bright enought). Good for Netflix and other apps, when watching more "casual" content it does the job well and were happy with it. We had no tv in our room and now we have a quick useable 100". Never tried Gen1 but Gen2 is quick and there's alot of image customisation options. But I wont recommend it for a high end pc, series x or ps5 console. The 1080P image makes it hard to see all the details in games. Any other casual stuff, no sweat!

Yes, you need a dark room to fully enjoy it, but here in Seattle after 6pm it's usually perfect with just the blinds down. I bought a USB cable for it thinking I'd need to use my iTV, but it has all the streaming apps I need, so I can use it as is. The picture is amazing, I have mine setup at about 8ft away from the wall, and it feels like a high-res cinema (I am fortunate to have a large white wall on one side of my living room). The sound is also surprisingly good - I kept connecting it to my BT sound system, but late at night I'm trying not to disturb my neighbors, and switch it back to its own speakers - after a while I've not even bothered connecting an external speaker system. And what I love the most is that I can watch a bunch of old movies for free (with ads), on the Samsung Plus channels. This is really half of this projector's value imho.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple to use with all in one apps already preset. No firesticks or any extra cables to carry around are a big selling point. The ability to just point and shoot your projector at any wall and have it automatically adjust itself is a plus. Bluetooth connects without any issue to any speaker that is nearby. Another plus is having the xbox app in the interface for those who game and the ability connect a micro USB to the projector to your Xbox makes gaming 100x better. I have kids and I love to take the projector outside on a summer night and switch it up so the kids can enjoy the outdoors with a summer movie. This is a great product for the price! The projector could be a tad bit brighter but it's not a deal breaker. Ive had my projector for about 2 years and havent had any issues with it. Samsung products never fail to impress me!

Like expected, if you are viewing the projection large it does not work well in bright light, however, you can view a smaller size and be just fine. With the interface there is a slowness to loading, however, once in the apps it works well. It connects to internet easily and you can connect other devices multiple other devices through Bluetooth which makes it very versatile. It does not have any kind of battery life, so if accidentally unplugged, you have to start all over.

The projector gets bright enough for a relatively low lit room. It connects seamlessly with my phone and tablet. Casting my tablet using Dex is amazing. It works as a home hub so I can see every device and interact with it effortlessly. But the highlight of the device is the game hub. I can stream games from my PC, and Xbox with little to no latency. Best purchase I've made in a long time. I had the 1st Gen before this and after about a year the light started to go out. So I replaced it with the 2nd Gen and ever since ive had no problems. It's lasted a very long time. I rate this product 10/10 I would definitely buy again especially a 3rd Gen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited about getting the freestyle. I love Samsung products & I needed a solution for a small bedroom with limited Wall space. This was the perfect solution, but overtime im feeling that it's not quite living up to my expectations. Because it is a small room im not able to set it up directly across from the screen so I wanted something with auto Keystone. The freestyle does tht but it'll also "move" the projection after turning it back on even if the projector isn't moved. It'll either go small/large & off screen moving the picture. Also, it's stays slightly out of focus. It's not a sharp clear image. I try auto focus but it says there's an error, so I use manual but it never gets quite clear. It "resets" settings periodically unlike a TV that's just stays. There's also some instances where the projection is a little dark for dark movies & it can be loud esp if the room is quiet.
