It’s one of those devices that delivers exactly what it promises: portability, ease of use, and a surprisingly immersive viewing experience. The design is compact and clever, making it easy to move from room to room—or even take outdoors. Setup is effortless thanks to the auto keystone, auto focus, and auto leveling, which work smoothly and save a lot of time. You can literally point it at a wall, turn it on, and start watching. Picture quality is very good for its size. Colors are vibrant, text is sharp, and it performs best in dim or dark environments. While it won’t replace a high‑end home theater projector, it’s more than enough for movies, shows, sports, or casual gaming. The built‑in Smart TV (Tizen OS) is a big plus—Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and other apps run smoothly without needing an external device. The 360‑degree speaker is another highlight. Audio is clear, well‑balanced, and louder than expected for such a small unit. For casual viewing, you don’t really need external speakers. I have it in my room and we plan on buying another one for our living room and another one for our rec room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This projector is 100% better then the last it has a gaming hub!!! All my games are in one place for me to choose from. The projector gets bright enough for a relatively low lit room. It connects seamlessly with my phone and tablet. Casting my tablet using Dex is amazing. It works as a home hub so I can see every device and interact with it effortlessly. But the highlight of the device is the game hub. I can stream games from my PC, and Xbox with little to no latency. Best purchase I've made in a long time. I had the 1st Gen before this and after about a year the light started to go out. So I replaced it with the 2nd Gen and ever since ive had no problems. It's lasted a very long time. I rate this product 10/10 I would definitely buy again especially a 3rd Gen.

Unfortunately the freestyle 2nd Gen is no longer a value proposition. The technical specs are OK for what they are but we need a 3rd generation now with updated technology and competitive prices. For a 3rd of the price I recently purchased the NEBULA Capsule Air and that one has an integrated battery, half the weight and it is running GoogleTV. My unit broke just before the warranty was supposed to end and I was really happy with the Samsung Support. They are very responsive and actually received it for repairs twice. The Samsung support team is the reason why I am giving it 4 stars today in April 2026, otherwise the technology offer and the price are completely out of touch with the market trend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Samsung Freestyle projector for 1½ years, I probably won't go back to any TV. The image quality was ten times better, whether using a projector screen or not. The user interface is simple enough for anyone to navigate, allowing easy adjustments to screen settings like brightness and color enhancement. Connecting to Wi-Fi is quick, and with SmartThings, you can control the device via your phone or use voice commands with Bixby. Even though my freestyle is down at the moment I plan to have it repaired if possible and if it cant be fixed then im purchasing a new samsung projector.

The low brightness of this projector kills all the great things it has going for it. Because of the low lumens, to really appreciate this projector one has to use it in a dark room with no uncovered windows nearby. Its not truly a portable projector unless everywhere youre going with it is dark. Perhaps in the next generation they will provide a brighter light source. But until they do we recommend waiting on buying a freestyle.

I do wish that some of the halo effect was minimized as that distracts from the quality of the projection. I wish it had an internal rechargeable battery to make it truly portable at that price but it’s great for quick setups while traveling. Love the smart functionality of it though.

It's fantastic for casual, laid-back gaming.delivers sharp 1080p with decent colors, but the brightness is just "okay". For the best results, you definitely need a dark room.It's much faster than the first generation, which was a huge, much-needed upgrade.The built-in 360-degree speaker is surprisingly good, but I prefer a Bluetooth speaker for better, louder sound, especially outside. This is a fantastic "jack-of-all-trades" for flexible, fun, on-the-go entertainment and casual gaming, though I wouldn't call it a replacement for a serious, high-end gaming setup.
