Overall, we are pleased with this product. It seems to have a lot less vibration than our portable unit. The instructions were not easy to follow as they seemed to almost skip information, but we got it installed! We used 4 bags of quickcrete instead of the 6 recommended. Hoping my daughter doesn't break the backboard on this one!

The excellent rating is for what you get for your money. I know there are better systems out there, but I would have paid a lot more for it! Definitely a great buy. There is some work in assembly, but it is not a difficult assembly. I just used the 3 days cure time for the concrete to take a few days to put it together. Did some here and there after work for those 3 days. we bought it for my 10 year old, so he helped me out with it as well. Probably could have got it done faster, but it was good father/son time. Very pleased with this purchase.

Finally completed the installation this past weekend. I decided to get this in-ground goal to make the most out of my driveway recently extended into the backyard. It does take 4-6 hours to put together so be patient. It will also require 2 strong people to set in place. After struggling for an hour on step 1 I finally gave up and took a trip to a local hardware store. None of the nuts provided would screw on the bolts even half way. Spent $2 for the proper nuts and things went together relatively smoothly. The instructions are just OK. Could be better but the actual sized parts in the manual were of great help. The adjuster was a bit tricky but once we deciphered the instructions and used logic to determine the correct side of the pole in relation to the sway bars it made sense. The goal is plenty sturdy at the bottom if you follow the directions for cementing a sleeve and the bottom pole. The backboard does move a little if the ball hits it moderately hard but not more than I was expecting. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.

I bought this Basketball hoop a month ago and ran into a small issue that turned into a big issue but the customer service was outstanding. There was a plastic bubble in the handle that would not allow me to screw the handle all the way down. I tried to force the issue and things got jammed and could not be disassembled. I contacted customer service to admit my mistake and order new parts and they stepped up big time. The resent all the parts I needed and did not charge me because it was a defect on the handle. Lesson learned don't try to fix a defect yourself and reach out to the awesome customer service team right away. So very happy I chose this brand and I will recommend them to everyone. Beside the tiny defect the quality is amazing. Very happy.

This system is just a little better than the portable systems. The backboard is incredibly cheap and flimsy. I am very disappointed with that!!!! Because the backboard is so thin, the rebound is not very good. I had an idea that this was going to be the case so I'm not terribly disappointed. That's why this cost $209.00 instead of a $1600.00 Gorilla System. You get what you pay for.....just keep that in mind. Putting it together was not that bad like I had read in other reviews. The poles and everything went right together and lines up well. Also, the last step reads that you will need at least two people. I did this by myself and it was VERY difficult. I am 6'1" and if I was an inch shorter it would have been impossible.

This was the cheapest price I found for this model. Pretty easy to put together. The directions could probably be a little bit better but overall not too bad. I love the fact that it is easy to change the height. Great for people who have younger and older kids who want to shoot hoops.

We bought this for our three boys, ages 11, 7 and 6. It was a little complicated to put together but we just took our time to ensure we put it together right! I love the adjusting handle for the rim height! It is easy to use. The boys love it. We have reviewed lots of basketball systems and I say definitely choose this one the price is just right and it is an in ground unit which tends to be stronger than those fill up with sand or water ones.

I used the ground sleeve to mount the basketball system. Worked great. A couple places the instruction had you figuring out how things went together. But could easily figure it out. Very easy to raise up and down. Grandkids love it. It's a good product for the money.

This is our first basketball hoop. Decided to go for an in-ground mostly to save precious patio space. Read instructions before purchase and knew that the install is going to take some time before the first shot. Went with the optional sleeve (item 0023) to make the removal or a swap for a different set a tad easier. Actual assembly was relatively straight forward. Decided to assembly all the three sections of the pole first and then attach the backboard separately: in the end it still required additional hands on deck and the same number of step ladders to make it a successful install but it all worked out in the end. Side note: very impressed with packaging: box arrived in an impeccable condition. All hardware was properly labeled and accounted for. Very hopeful for the system to last us a long time! Highly recommend!

Thought it would be much harder to put up than it was. Really went up with no problem and I am very happy we choose the in-ground model. Sum it up - easy put together and quality materials. Thanks Lifetime for the product and thank you Wal-mart for the great price.
