used the install sleeve that lifetime sells with this. install went pretty smoothly, except you need to make sure you marry pipes two and three correctly as the diagram is confusing. If you do it wrong, you will have trouble getting them apart. Put this together by myself in under 2 hours. Because I preinstalled the sleeve, I also put it up by myself.

The excellent rating is for what you get for your money. I know there are better systems out there, but I would have paid a lot more for it! Definitely a great buy. There is some work in assembly, but it is not a difficult assembly. I just used the 3 days cure time for the concrete to take a few days to put it together. Did some here and there after work for those 3 days. we bought it for my 10 year old, so he helped me out with it as well. Probably could have got it done faster, but it was good father/son time. Very pleased with this purchase.

Phenominal Customer Service!! My husband assembled the majorty of it while the cement was drying. This project literally took a minimal amount of time and effort. We called customer service because he mis judged the placement so we had to order an additinal plole but it was shipped without any issue. So far my kiddos are happy. The only Part of installation that needed more than one person was, placing the top half of the goal on the in ground base! Great price for a great product!!

Purchased this ball goal on sale at my last house, 129.99 i believe..... well i done moved and would like to have another but i cant seem to catch it at the same price. i would recommend this goal to anyone. and if your having trouble putting it together then your probably doing it wrong. lol jk really great for the price. Walmart please hook me up with the price match from 3 years ago. Thanks

This was the cheapest price I found for this model. Pretty easy to put together. The directions could probably be a little bit better but overall not too bad. I love the fact that it is easy to change the height. Great for people who have younger and older kids who want to shoot hoops.

This system is just a little better than the portable systems. The backboard is incredibly cheap and flimsy. I am very disappointed with that!!!! Because the backboard is so thin, the rebound is not very good. I had an idea that this was going to be the case so I'm not terribly disappointed. That's why this cost $209.00 instead of a $1600.00 Gorilla System. You get what you pay for.....just keep that in mind. Putting it together was not that bad like I had read in other reviews. The poles and everything went right together and lines up well. Also, the last step reads that you will need at least two people. I did this by myself and it was VERY difficult. I am 6'1" and if I was an inch shorter it would have been impossible.

It is a beauty now that it is up and I am not worried about my 6' teenager hanging from the hoop because it it good quality. And worth the money even with what I spent on concrete and the hole digging to get it up. THE COMPANY 'LIFETIME' HAS A GREAT WEBSITE WITH DOWNLOADABLE INFO. AND they were very responsive and helpful on the phone when I needed moral support! Much happier than the flimsy lone backboard I was going to buy..a good investment!

Very pleased with product and ease of height adjustment. Good value for cost of product. If using a quick-set cement, be careful to place pole BEFORE cement sets. We waited too long to place pole and were unable to drive it all the way through the cement to correct ground depth. This resulted in a range of heights higher than product specifications. However, we are still able to adjust to standard 10 feet, but can adjust downward only to about 8 1/2 feet.

I installed with a sleeve per the instructions. The unit is a little flimsy. The pole is not real stiff. It sways and I will have to reinforce it. The backboard moves relative to the pole when a ball hits it on one side or the other of the hoop. I don't think I will be able to reinforce it, though. It was inexpensive and I guess I found out why.

Bought this for my children , Instructions for cementing hole ans Assembly was pretty simple , Just takes time and follow the instructions . Set the concrete 5 1/2 BAgs of 80lb Cement and the other half in the pole , After 5 days I assembled the system which took about 3 Hours and set it into place , Kids Played all night , Very easy to adjust height , I also purchased the Pole Pad Which is extra to protect there heads from hitting the pole ! Excellent product
