I have three male cats and they can really lay down some giant smashers in the litter box. However, since I switched to Fresh Step Extreme a few months ago I can definitely tell a difference in the laundry room air quality (where I keep the boxes). My cats can try to desecrate those boxes for weeks without a lingering stench (Except for one cat who doesn't know how to bury his turds but that isn't the litter's fault). We're a much happier household. Saves money too since I don't need to replace the litter as frequently.

I have 3 cats and separate litter boxes but I always could smell them within hours and it was so frustrating. After using Fresh Step, I am never going back to another brand! I didn't expect to like it as much but it is great. I don't smell anything even after a day or 2! I make sure to clean but it is so great not having to worry about my house smelling.

It blocks it as well as the other versions of this litter, but it's nothing different. My grocery store sells it cheaper than the regular version, so that's why I get it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fresh Step Extreme cat litter is, by far, the best litter we've ever used. We have five cats and there's absolutely no odor. It clumps well and our cats love it. There will never be any other brand than Fresh Step in our home!

I have 2 cats (4yr old brother and sister) and have used your brand Extreme almost from the beginning. After trying every other brand, Fresh Step Extreme was the only thing that worked to keep my house smelling free of that stereotypical "cat" smell, and I just didn't think anything could get any better!!! But then you guys went and did it!!!! You made your OWN PRODUCT even more amazing!!!!! The dust-up is reduced quite a bit, which is wonderful since both my litter boxes are in my kitchen; the clumping is even more efficient, both my babies seem to enjoy the litter that much more, and the smell of the litter is absolutely amazing!!!!! I had forgot to scoop out the litter boxes one day, making it a total of 3 days the boxes had been scooped...and when my best friend came over she didn't even know they hadn't been cleaned! There was absolutely no "cat" smell coming from the litter boxes!!!! I'm a disabled, single mom of 3 boys, so I need to save money where I can...but I'll gladly pay whatever I have to for your product...DEFINITELY one thing I WON'T be skimping out on!!!!! :D THANK YOU, Fresh Step, for making an already amazing product that much more amazing!!!!!!!!

The only thing i don't like is all the tiny litter particles everywhere...outside the box and throughout my house.

No more huge cloud of dust billowing up as I pour the granules into their box. I have 7 cats, so clean litter, multiple boxes is a given in my home. The new formula continues the great odor fighting qualities - now with minimal dust! Thank you!

I use the Extreme in all of our Litter Boxes. I never know which ones the girls prefer on any given day. So the Extreme is great for the days I don't get a chance to scoop. Missy and Winnie don't really get along so its better to have multiple places for them to do their business.
