I have been using Fresh Step Extreme for a few years now! I love it. I only have one cat and it keeps odor in check (unless she has just used the box) AND it actually clumps and doesn't get that horrible smell you get with some other litters after only being used for about a week! We love it. I'm never switching to another litter. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because it is still a bit dusty even though it now states it's "low dust formula".

But the first 2 days it did well. This is a product that is hard to please many because each cat parent is different in what they and the cats like.

The litter I used before clumped, but every bowel movement could be smelled throughout the area. The only problem I have with Freshstep, is if the clumps are touching the bottom or side of litterbox, it's like cement to remove.

I've purchased this product several times now and it is wonderful. We keep the litter box in our laundry room which is located near the main entrance to our home. This has always been a questionable location due to the odor factor, being that it's near the entrance this can be an issue. Fresh Step Extreme with the power of Febreeze gives me the confidence that my home smells fresh and clean regardless of the location of litter box! The smell is wonderful and product stays in the box as well. No litter tracked out onto the matt is an added bonus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What caught my eye was the easy to handle packaging. We have two cats. We got our second cat right before I got pregnant with our son. I needed litter that was compact, easy to handle and didn't kick up much dust..this is it! (I was told not to change litter while pregnant because of the dust but sometimes it had to be done) Additionally, there is never an odor! We live in an apartment and our cats share a box. You can't smell a thing, just fresh clean air. Love it.

I have a cat with skin allergies and this liter has been great for her and does not have any skin reactions from too much scented items in the liter like many other brands I have tried. I used to use cat liter deodorizer but this liter has the right amount of scent that is not overpowering. It also masks the smell of a dirty box very well.

My friend recommended the Fresh Step Extreme formula and I was very happy with the results. It's easy to scoop and it really keeps the odor in. My house smells great and my kitty is happy, I couldn't ask for more!

But the Febreze scent was quite appealing and potent (maybe a touch too potent?). But overall it certainly masks everything and is more than adequate to keep our place free of cat odors.
