I bought this version of Fresh Step because it was the most economical when I purchased it. I was a little wary of the Febreze, since their scents can sometimes be very strong. We have been pleasantly surprised that the odor isn't overpowering and has not affected our cats at all. They have no problems using this litter, which clumps well and works well for multiple cats.

I am new to having him and he has been with me for almost 2 months and the only thing is that it leaves small pieces of not clump things.

Ever since having four children, I have become extremely sensitive to smells, especially pet odors. This litter keeps everything smelling just fine! Our box shares our laundry room and in a house of six I do a lot of laundry. With other litters I hated every trip to that room. With this, there is no issues at all!

This performs as I would expect from Fresh Step-excellent clumping and odor coverage. However, the scent is too strong for me personally. I live in a small space and the scent is quite strong when pouring the litter and when Ms. Cat uses the box and moves it around. I'll be going back to an unscented Fresh Step.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our cats seem to like Fresh Step Litter (in the Extreme, Mountain Spring scent) as much as we do. There's very little dust, it clumps very well and the odor control lasts. I'm always a bit worried when trying a new scented litter as some can be much too strong, but Fresh Steps isn't at all - the scent is there, but it's not overwhelming, which is wonderful with kitties with sensitive noses. In a home with multiple cats, it has also held it's clump very well! (I can't speak to how quickly that clump forms though, as I always give things time to settle before changing it each day.) I also love that Fresh Step comes in a cardboard box over plastic, as companies and consumers we need to be much more aware about how recyclable the containers and items we make and purchase are. I also appreciate that the the silky finish of their label that would make it not recyclable IS NOT printed on the box, but rather a wrap around that can be removed, all bit it a bit difficulty for some. My only small issue would be the price point, although it's not off by too much in comparison to other brands - product wise it doesn't offer anything more to warrant being that bit more than their competitors. Nonetheless, it's a reasonably priced litter that works well all around! I had recently purchased a two-pack of 38 lb. bags and I could barely get them out of the car and into the house. This way I get the same amount but in easy to carry bags. I really like this new product and would suggest it to anyone who has trouble lifting heavy items.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Fresh Step. It is the only litter that I have found that keeps the smell of 4 cats under control and is a good clumper. Easy to scoop, too. The only negative thing I can say is that the dust bothers my allergies so I have to be careful. That doesn't stop me from using it though! I did not receive free product as this states though...it wouldn't let me unclick yes.
